I have a vintage electric 24 volt 450w bicycle motor(self contained) with hand brake. Requires 24v. Battery and tie down straps to not included. The most common electric-assist kits have a hub motor ... moremounted either on a front or rear wheel. A battery and its accompanying rack, and a motor controller. Installation for the two systems is essentially the same. 1 Remove the appropriate wheel(front or rear depending on your conversion kit) from your bike. Most wheels come complete and ready to go. But if the wheel for your conversion kit didn't come with a tire and tube, deflate the tube on your old wheel, and use the tire levers to remove the tire. Vintage Emerson Fan Motor Capacitor, 12 or 16"electric,switch,run,speed 77646-AS
Hi. This is Don. If you have one of the old brown Emerson fans and it will not run. This might be why. My old fan would hum and would try to run if I spun the blades. I researched a value for the cap and come up with this one. Ran my fan all last summer, and this cap works great. The old cap was a big square metal can, this one is very small, but it is correct. Will work for the 12 or 16" fan. I believe this cap brought the rpm range down for much more suitable speeds as well. I'm certain you will like this cap, if you need more than one, let me know. This is a wonderful Vintage Antique Electric Moto r in superb condition with original pap ers. My neighbor down the street is selling this. He stat es that it is very old. But does not know exactly how old. Just that he got it from his dad when he was a kid, not finished, and he finished it about 5 years ago. My neighbor is 62. It runs quite well on about 3 volts at around 3 amps. This motor is most definitely a fantastically operational and display motor. It stands about 4 in. tall and about 4 in. wide at the base. This motor is in original condition from back in the 20's or 30's. No repaint or touch-ups. The only thing that is of a newer time is the green armature wire and the carbon brushes for the commutator. When Joe completed the motor with the. Still on there, flat copper commutator wipers. He said that after about a minute ... moreor two. The motor would slow to a stop from the built up friction and galling of the metal. So he added the carbon brushes which solved the problem. Here are some antique motors right out of a collection.Except for a little dust they are in great shape and they were tested with a 6 volt lantern battery and they all run. All of them are scarce and some are rare from 1896 to 1915s.The Porter#1 without the(K&D) on it is very rare. It's the only motor porter put out before K&D brought into the company. Note the Porter#1 with the K&D on the tag.The Star Dynamo was the first motor to use bakelite as part of it body when the radios came out with the bakelite in the 1915's.The little motor with#1 on the tag is thought to be a phototype for the Ajax motors. The#2 Porter fan is really cool. Vintage Belt Driven Viet Nam Era G.E. 1/4 HP Electric A-C Motor 5KH33GG106X
This is a very unique looking engine but I have no idea what it is for. I have recently been told that it is a makeshift compressor from the Vietnam era. If you know please clue me in. I do not know if it works because the end of the plug in part of the cord is missing. But I can tell you the motor is not seized because it turns by hand very easily. I tried to take good photos so you guys can see what you need to see. The motor is about 5.5 inches wide and is bolted to a metal base that is about 14 inches long x 9.5 inches wide. Some of the numbers on it are: B.F. Goodrich belt 4L 240. Serial Number on engine is T-39010, and the numbers at the base of the big motor between the bolts looks like 113G902AAP2, And the numbers in the listing title is what's on the metal tag. If you like tinkering with this sort of thing then this is a great ... moreproject or if you are into steampunking, then this could be the item that gets you featured in Steampunk Chronicle. There are set screw marks on the shaft as detailed in the photo. 1/3 HP 1725 RPM 6 Amp 115 Volt CCW Rotation(viewed from the shaft end) 1/2" Diameter Shaft with a Flat 3 7/8" x 5" slotted hole pattern. Motor weights 27 lbs. Motor is believed to be 40's-50's vintage and was last used on a 50's Craftsman Scroll Saw. Will work an many power tools that require this size motor.
