The maps show much details including towns, townships, sections, quarter sections, schools, some houses and other details. On some maps there are surveryor seals, signatures ... moreand script that were printed in the plate, many of these maps were originally procured from the Kansas Survey offices and reproduced for the atlas. The maps were first printed by lithographic process and then the color washes were hand applied, often with stencil for the large fields of color. The map is not mounted, matted nor framed being sold as seen in the pics, photographed against a dark background. There are maps and town plans on both sides as seen, so if framing one would have to choose a side to frame. Overall, a very nice rare example in very good condition for its age. Size: The entire page measures 14 by 17 1/2 inches with the map image area slightly smaller as shown in the pic with a margin all around. Condition: It is in Very Good condition for its age printed on a light buff page and original handcoloring as issued. It is basically as seen in the pics. There are some binding holes along the left edge. Otherwise it is very clean and would frame up nicely. Pics are of the actual map. The only markings we could find on both blower housings are"MIW" and"EAB 32811" Note that the vacuum fitting on the rotor lubrication chamber is installed on the"wrong" side so that. When hung by the shock absorbing mounts the inlet and outlets are on the underside of the pump. It is apparently a pretty common mistake to rest this pump so that the oil drains out. The last of the oil came out clear with tiny black particles from ... moreseal wear. Notes: We put a vacuum gauge on the inlet fitting. Opened an exhaust fitting and turned on power to this pump for just a couple of seconds. Our gauge read about-55kPa. Without the gauge installed there is a very high volume of air flow through the pump. The pump runs pretty loud, as expected with no piping attached to either fitting. No other testing was done.
