Paterson Gearhead motor 16 in-lb 63 RPM vertical shaft
Selling a Paterson small gearhead motor. Motor and gearhead are approximately 4" in diameter and 7" long. The motor does not have a horsepower rating. The label says 16 in-lb of torque at 63 rpm. The ourput shaft is 3/8" in diameter and extends 3" beyond the mounting feet. The motor operates on 115v ac 60HZ power and draws 1 amp. An external capacitor(included) is required for starting and reversing and must be externally switched. The motor has been bench tested and works fine. A connection diagram(if required) can be provided for connection to the capacitor and for reversing the motor. Included is a 5 1/2" cable pulley that fits the shaft of the gearhead. Unknown what the motor was used for. Made in the USA.

I don't think it would take much to have this motor running again. I listed it as for parts or not working because I'm not a small engine mechanic and don't know how to get it started and running. All I know and can assure the prospective buyer is that the motor turns and is not frozen. And is not making any rattling or metal clunking sound when I pull the starter. Also seems to have good compression. I removed the air cleaner and the carb beneath it looks very clean.

I call this a linear stage mainly because I don’t know what else to call it. The unit sits on your optical bench and the top surface is raised or lowered by the actuator. I have no idea what sort of mechanism is inside to convert the actuator motion into up and down. The top plate installed measures 3x3.5 inches. As it stands it is about 2 7/8 inches tall. The indicator on the Motor Mike is just shy of the.2 inch mark on the 0-0.5 inches range. I have no idea if the Motor Mike markings are linear. Meaning I don’t know that a half an inch of Motor Mike range translates into a half an inch of up/down movement. I actually have a small Motor Mike controller but it has some small pins on the back ... moreinstead of the nice mini plug connection on this one. So for the moment I cannot connect the two.
