The workmanship in the box is incredible and it was made with lock and key. Crank handle is ivory. Large horseshoe style magnet within. Push pull switch closes electrical field. Two poles on the opposite ends of the box, seemingly positive and negative. The gears are crank driven and smooth as silk, appears to be a leather web belt on the brass pulleys. I have done no research on this, patented Aug.1 1854. I did read that its early in electric motors. Measures 1' long and 4 1/2" high and 4" wide. Weights approx. 7lbs.

Here is one of the rarest miniature. Small; toy or salemen samples dynamo,motor ever. When Edison made his first dynamo in 1882- it was called the long legged mary ann; google this for some nice information. The dynamo being very large these little motors were made as salesman samples and immediately kicked off the toy motor craze in 1884. This is a two coil armature one and is the first made and is#1 and rare today. This one is also a little rarer than most as it has the side mounted terminals and no eye bolt. 9 out of 10 of the number#1 had front mounted terminals and had a eye bolt on top. Here's a really nice Knapp fan motor. It was tested on a 6 volt lantern battery and runs great. These were made around 1910 for garment workers to increase production of the workers before air conditioning and are pretty scarce. If you collect the old electric motors and fans or only the unusual one then here's a great one for your collection. The motor is 5&1/2" high; the feet are 5"apart; The shaft is 4&1/2" and the blade is 5&3/4" I will remove the blade for shipping. This auction is for an old B-LINE electric motor. It has a pulley mounted to a shaft. Here is the info on the tag: ALTERNATING CURRENT MOTOR- TYPE: RBR MODEL: V20 B46 FRAME 56 VOLTS- 110 H.P. 1/6 CYC. 60 R.P.M. 1725 AMPS: 3.1 The ends of the power cord are cut. They are old cloth insulated wires. I am not able to plug this motor in to test. I did turn the pulley mounted to the motor shaft and it did turn. There was resistance. I don't know if it was from an internal problem or just because of the resistance of the magnets. I don't know the age but it appears to be pretty old. It is 4 1/4' tall. The is no marks on the shaft from any allen or pully wheel set screw. see picture# 4) It retains the vast majority of original finish. The cloth cord is fine and original. At each end the user can see the center spindle of the motor spin. don't stick your fingers inside when it is running. I have a Dynamo here for sale that I can not authenticate. The rather generic plaque mounted on the base claims it to be a Carlise and Finch# 72? I am familiar with C&F's model 27 but can not find anything on a#72 or even anything close to that high of a model# If any one recognizes this Dynamo and can tell me anything about it I would appreciate your sharing of info. This is a antique Colonial Fan& Motor CO. Electric Motor. Made in Warren. Ohio. Cycles 60, 1 Phase, Volts 110, Amp 3.2, RPM 1800, No. 26 24 98. Constant Duty. There is no HP. stamped where it is suppose to be. Has a 3/8" shaft. The shaft turns free, I don't know if it works or not, I bought it at a antique auction. It has most of the original black paint. It measures 6 1/2" hole to center hole, 2" center to center. It has Q2-1 on the base. The motor measures 7 3/4" not including the shaft. It has two shallow drilled holes on the shaft. I t has the old oil cups in it and the old style fuses so it is probably from the 40's to 50's or earlier but not sure. This auction is for an old Diehl brass blade electric fan in as found uncleaned condition. On the tag it states the serial number"32109" The fan needs to be cleaned and does suffer from some corrosion and paint loss as seen in the photos. I do not see any cracks or breaks. I plugged the fan in to see how it works- runs good- smooth- all speeds appear to work- oscillator works the way it should. For safety in shipping and to make international shipping a little more cost effective I will be partially dissasembling the fan for packing.

Michigan. One letter is five pages total consisting of three sheets with two double sided and one single sided along with a single sheet letter. All sheets are handwritten on the company's illustrated stationary decorated with an attractive vignette of one of the Edision company's electric lighting plants and all sheets are printed with the date"188_ which is overwritten with the year 1891. These letters were sent by The Edison Electric Light and Motor Power Company's Secretary and Treasurer. A Mr. L. Saviers, to Fred Weatherhead of Harrison, Michigan. Vintage Electric Foot Shoe Hamilton Beach Speed Control Motor Metal Antique 115V
This one is unique! It appears to be a heater for your foot/shoe. But one user told me is a speed control for a Hamilton Beach motor. It has an electrical cord but the end is two round prongs- therefore this has not been tested. The only marking on it are"Pat no 1,644,820 115V" The shoe section measures 8 1/2 inches long. Heater is 3 1/2 inches long, 3 inches tall, 2 inches wide. Screws on the bottom are flat head, and there are 4 plastic bases/feet.

This electric motor is in working condition. It came with a bandsaw I bought 20 years ago. I took it off today and replaced it with A 1 horse motor. This Motor came off A coffee grinder that was in A grocery store back from the turn of the last century. Its tag says Steiner manufactiring company st. Louis mo. I can find no mention of the company on line. if you do find something forward it on to me. i would like to know. If you need A motor to restore A grinder or some other period piece. Here it is and works just fine to. the cord and switch(modern) is included. its 1/2 horse motor. I will pack it well with several inches of dense sheet building foam on all sides for protection. It has a nice brass tag on it. It is heavy! Antique. Vintage student study experiment test motor. Working study motor from the Iowa State University physic department manufactured by the Central Scientific Co Chicago. I am not sure but I believe that the Central Scientific stamp seen in the fourth pix below dates this motor prior to 1908. The motor will run in either direction depending on which terminals you hook the leads too. The commutator is held in place with a zip tie.
