As water rises the switch kicks-on. As the float lowers it shuts off the pump until needed again. This was my own. I am selling it because the impeller broke and no parts are available. I do not know its specific use, possibly was used for an Erector Set type toy or small industrial machine. There is some wear to its heavy cast metal housing black paint, it still has remnants of the gold painted leaves on the side, otherwise this motor assembly is in very good condition with no missing or broken parts, the armature turns by hand freely and comes to the auction winner as shown, see pictures. This auction is for the vintage Marathon Electric Mfg Corp AC Motor with a built-in mounting bracket and as pictured. Has some wear and tear and rust and pitting on the shafts- has been repainted and but runs smooth and strong. Rotates counter clockwise at shaft end of bottom shaft as you face the nameplate. The shafts are 1/2" diameter flat sided about 1 1/2" long. The top shaft has a sleeve making it@ 5/8" I will ship insured. Local pick-up available.

GE General Electric Motor, Cast Iron Frame, 1725 RPM, 1/3 hp, Corded.
Up for auction. We have a GE 1/3 hp electric corded motor. The tag says it is 6 amps, continuous duty, single phase, 1725 rpm. It has an old style three prong plug which will plug into any 110 outlet. Shaft size is 1/2" and it has a 2-1/8" pulley on it. Why someone put a protective piece of tin behind the front pulley, I don't know. The wiring port cover is missing, but the screws are there. One can easily make a cover from a piece of tin. It runs great, the cord is good, and it's ready to use. Shipping to the lower 48 states only.
