I have completely re-conditioned this analyzer to excellent operational and physical condition. It only has about 1500 hours of use on the elapsed time meter. Which means it has spent most of it's life on a shelf. The CRT is bright and sharp. All the functions work properly. It passes all module calibrations and built-in calibration routines. My re-conditioning includes replacing all the high voltage caps in the power supplies. I check the signal transfer from the RF input to the output of the 3rd Converter and replace any parts that have excessive loss on the RF deck. I check the operational parameters of all the circuit modules and replace any defective components. I disassemble the front panel and replace any defective push button switches and parts on the circuit board. I have re-conditioned the cabinet to like new condition.Take a close look at the pics I have included. You won't find a nicer Tek 494AP spectrum analyzer anywhere! Tektronix TR501 - 3 modified tracking generator !NR!
FOR SALE yet another TR-501 but this one is modified since I had more than one of these TR501 units and no more TR503 units I wanted to see how easily I could make the tr501 work with such Tek units as 492 494 495 96 497 492p 494p 495 p 496p 497p 2753 2754 2792 2794 2753p 2754p2792p 2794p etc. I can up with a modification which is a manual master setting of the tracking frequency(this modification enabled by jumper plug at the rear of the unit to change it from the normal tr501 functions) The unit in modified manual mode will work with either type of unit IE 49x 27xx units or the 7000 series units but will require adjustment to the master setting when switching types once done the unit will tracking your SA as you change its frequency the manual master adjustment is a 20 turn trim pot acessible from the front lower corner of the unit. This ... moresetup is also useful if you want a tracking frequency offset from the SA setting and the Tek TR501 tracking generator fits into Tek TM502 TM503 TM504 TM506 TM515 or tm5003 tm5006 cabinet. This unit appears to be in good physical condition. The unit powers up properly I hooked the LO inputs to a 7000 series spectrum analyzer(7000 units cannot be set to max span) sweep control set to zero span(7000 series and 49x series are set to manual sweep) and hooked the output to a counter to show the frequency setting I will have pictures of the unit hooked to a 2792 in a bit. The TR 501 is for frequency range use from.1mz to 1800 mhz and may be used with such Tek units as 7L12 7L13 7L14 This auction is for the tr 501 only no other items are included this references the tm503(a tm502 or tm503 or tm5003 is available for an additional amount) is not included 2792 is not included and the counter is not included. This auction is for a working Tektronix 1401a Spectrum Analyzer Adapter. This unit was designed to go with the Tektronix type 323 O-scope. But it can be used with any scope with X-Y input or will even work with just the external trigger input on most scopes. This little guy will make a great accessory to one of the now common DSO scopes. The 1401a was designed to run from a NiCad battery pack. Which long ago died and was removed from the inside the unit. The internal power supply is designed to charge the batteries and doesn’t want to run the unit properly by itself. There is a external DC power connection on the side(6-16vdc) input that I used to test with. It will run fine from a 12volt bench power supply. Or a new battery pack could be built. Here is a pair of Tektronix 1L10 and 1L20 plug in Spectrum Analyzers. I do not know much about these units so I'll tell you what I do know. They are in great. Near flawless cosmetic condition. All dials and switches turn and flip as they should. None of them feel dead or weak. Manuals are included. They look like photocopies so I can not be sure if they are complete. These came from an estate that had an amazing amount of electronics. Gauges, test equipment, etc. The gentleman who owned it was a university professor and a lot of what he had has hand made. This is a Tektronix 7L5 spectrum analyzer plug-in. This covers the frequency range of 20Hz to 5.0MHz with a resolution bandwidth of 10Hz to 30kHz in eight steps. This comes with option 21. This works with the 7000 series mainframe. This is in very good overall condition. I have tested this and it seems to be working. The"dot mkr" knob is damaged and one of the plastic tabs on the back is broken. This can be returned in 14 days if not happy. This auction is for the 7L5 and option 21 plug-in only. The 7000 series mainframe is not included.
