Provide fast, reproducible homogenization, emulsion, dispersion, and mixing, with consistent sample-to-sample uniformity. These units can also be used to homogenize heart, liver, uterus, and smooth muscle for the isolation of mitochondria, intact golgi apparatus, and nuclei, as well as grains and seeds for nutritional analysis. The PT 2100 features an analog dial for speed control from 11.000–30,000rpm that maintains set speed(±100rpm) regardless of sample changes. This homogenizer works perfectly. Bought it for a project to make mayonnaise. But it didnt work well for that. It tends to break O/W emulsions, which cannot tolerate the extreme turbulence. So I am selling it. This homogenizer was only used for food applications. Mixing head and power supply are included. 110VAC. 710 Watts. Stand + clamp are included. Everything in the picture is included. The setup is ready to use and complete. Continuously variable speed control 0-30.000 RPM. The mixing head has a carbide bushing and blades that are in perfect condition. Rotation is extremely smooth. Mixing head measures 11.8mm OD x 16cm long. But I guess that means its 10mm"nominal" I glued the plug. Because the cord insulation was damaged where it attaches to the plug. It seems to do fine at lower speeds(below 10,000rpm) but whenever I tried to get it going really fast, it would again make a really loud ugly sound, stop and blow the fuse. Up for auction is a used Kinematica Polytron PT10-35 Homogenizer Mixer with a PCU-11 Power Control Unit and base/stand. The Power Control Unit and the mixer are in good physical condition. But show signs of use in the form of scuffs and scrapes. There is some light rust/corrosion on the tip. The mixer powers up and spins very fast. The Mixer did not start to spin unit I turned the knob to 3. Once I got to around 5 or 6 the mixer got very loud and I did not want to go any higher. I do not know if this mixer has a problem or if it just gets this loud and fast. There was a leather strap that would hold the mixer steady, but it had succumbed to dry-rot and broken.
