Griffith Design & Equipment lab laboratory homogenizer GL-88, heavy duty! 3ph
From a university surplus sale. A Griffith labs GL-88. I think this is a lab homogenizer. It has a gigantic(for the size of the unit) 5hp 3-phase motor. It does not have a plug- I wired it to a spare I have for testing purposes but you'll have to provide your own plug, or hardwire it. The'blade' isn't so much a blade as it is a big block of metal. It's really heavy due to the motor, so it will go freight. Weight ~120 lbs(Before packaging) Items ship from zip code 68512 in the U.S. Shipping costs quoted are to the continental states only. IKA T-25 Homogenizer Mixer Lab
This auction is for a used IKA T-25 mixer. It is had been in my outdoor storage for the past few years. Some cracking on the rubber on the power cord(the inside cables are fine) as you can see in the pictures. I did plug it in. Power it on all the speed seem to works fine and I also play with the cable to see if short or not. You can run it like it or replace the power cord. Anyway I am apply the fusing tape at the cracks.

It powers up, and the digital display is bright and clear, and it starts spinning, and the speed is adjustable. However, it seems to be having some problems, because as I was increasing the speed, when it got going really fast(~20,000rpm) it made a really loud sound, like maybe the shaft was rubbing against something, and then the fuse blew, and its stopped completely. I replaced the fuse, and tried again. It seems to do fine at lower speeds(below 10,000rpm) but whenever I tried to get it going really fast, it would again make a really loud ugly sound, stop and blow the fuse.
