VTG Scientific Apparatus Distillation ? Late 19th/Early 20th Century STEAM PUNK
This is a fantastic scientific apparatus probably dating from late 19th Century/ Early 20th Century. I am guessing(only guessing. Mind you) that this is some type of distillation apparatus. It measures 13" long x 13 3/4" tall(on its lovely wooden base) It is in pretty good condition for its age but does have a break at one end(please see all pics) This would be a fabulous item to display(despite the damage) It is amazing that it survived as well as it did throughout all of these years. Auction is for a 2 liter bulb designed for steam distillation of plant matter and/or other material. Can also be used as a reservoir for large scale column chromatography. Single Vintage 1940s Pyrex laboratory glass distillation flask 500 ml volume
This is for a single vintage original Pyrex(Corning) brand glass round bottom side arm distillation flask from the 1940s. This is 500 ml size. The reason I am somewhat sure of the age is that these items were in a box along with some micro burettes that had a piece of lab notebook paper wrapped around them and it was dated September 1941. These papers are not included. They have been used for many years but are in good. Clean condition with no chips or cracks. There are some surface scratches and inside water spots from cleaning. I have no access to solvents that clean and quickly dry this type of glassware, maybe you do. Great for the chemistry collector or a science museum exhibit. Sorry it is somewhat difficult to get good pictures because of the reflections from the glass. Measures about 11 inches in length from top to bottom and the ... moreside arm extends out 5 inches. These came from a well known chemistry laboratory and some of the glassware was custom made for this chemistry laboratory so they are unique pieces and historical.
