Clausing Kondia CNC Knee Mill - Anilam 1100 - NO RESERVE!
This is a Clausing Kondia CNC Knee Mill with an Anilam 1100 controller. It comes with eight tool holders and a boring bar set that I have no use for after the machine is sold. The Anilam 1100 is conversational and does not use g-code. I have a manual and video that goes with it to tell you how to program it. The base mill is a 2hp with a large 52" long table and has an automatic oiling system installed as well. I can send what's left of the oil I have with it( it's vactra 2 you can get it from grainger) THE BAD- when booting up it currently displays"Keyboard Error" which will not let the computer finish it's boot up. I am about 90% sure I have it traced to a battery on the left circuit board that will not hold a charge. The battery is soldered to the board. I have not tried to fix it because I am afraid I will ruin ... morethe board if I try and I cannot afford to have an expert come and look at it. It might cost $10 to fix it might cost $1000- I don't know for sure- in perfect running order these machines go for $5000-$9000 I put a buy it now of $3500 on the machine because if you stripped all the CNC stuff off of it the base mill is worth at least that much- if it cost $1000 to fix(which I doubt. It's simple technology from the 90's) you will still only have 4500 in it and still get a good deal. Greetings. I have a 2000 Kent 3vkf Vertical knee mill for sale. It features 2 axis Mitutoyo cnc control. The control has a very simple to use conversational interface, it has pocket, frame, arc, face and bolt patterns built in as well as a floppy disc drive. import cam generated files, you can also key in g-code. a second grader can be making parts in an hour. It can be cranked with the hand wheels and make parts manually utilizing the control as a DRO. also it has a power feed feature to just tram it around. The control utilizes ballscrews and glass scales for accuracy. The mill is larger than a Bridgeport series I having travels of x=36" and y=15.25" it is roughly a series 1.5 It weighs around 3500 lbs. The quill is smooth. The bearings are all good and turn smoothly.The ways are Turcite and it has autolube. The head is 3hp and ... morethis machine is frequency driven(VFD) meaning it is infinite variable speed to 4500 rpm with the turn of a dial. One of the greatest features is that it can be run on single phase power. It is well used but in very usable shape. This is a factory built Mitutoyo set up but I have recently had it gone thru by an electronics expert. I have recently replaced the lcd screen and power supplies along with cloning the hard drive(original is included for a backup) and replacing the disc drive and cooling fans. The servo's and controllers are Glentek and still supported. The motion control board is Galil and is still supported. The brain is a pentium mother board running windows 95. The software is available thru Mitutoyo still(and I have a copy coded to this controller) The reason for this big description is to say all of the parts are off the shelf and easily available for years to come, it can run forever! It is a good unit and would be great for a small shop or home. I would love to keep it its a great machine but I am running out of room as I have upgraded to several more machines since purchasing this. Knee drill/mill with Bridgeport head, VIDEO, MAKE AN OFFER!
This is an old knee drill/mill with a Bridgeport(R8) head on an even older Brown& Sharpe base. We mostly use it as a drill press and occasionally do a little light milling with it. I need to move this quickly. I'm a very motivated seller, the first halfway reasonable offer gets it. It's not the greatest mill. Think of it as an excellent drill press that will also mill. I believe the B&S base may have been made during the Paleolithic era. The back gear works perfectly and can drive very large drills and taps with big manly torque. But it is running on a static phase converter which I will include for an additional $50 to run on standard single phase power. There is a Mitutoyo DRO on it. ... moreThe X axis has starting flaking a little recently. I don't know if the head is dirty, perhaps it needs adjustment, I don't know or care, I'm pricing this as if it doesn't have a DRO. If you can fix it or get it going, bonus for you. No tooling is included. But if you want it, there is a set of R8 collets, the crappy vise shown, a nice precision drill chuck and an inserted cutter body that I will include for an additional $200 We're a small shop. We're getting another machining center in here at the end of this week on Friday 1-16-15 and there is literally no room for this in the shop.
