30 NMTB Taper 7/8" Diameter Milling Machine Arbor This is a No.30 NMTB Taper milling machine arbor that came with a Rockwell horizontal milling machine that I bought a while back. It is a Style'B' arbor that has a non-standard.625 diameter x 1-5/8" long pilot and an arbor length of 8-1/4" from the shoulder to the nut. A standard arbor would have a 23/32" diameter x 1-3/4" long pilot and an arbor length of 10" from the shoulder to the nut. I do not believe that this is a standard arbor that was modified by someone. It looks to be made to these specifications for a particular milling machine. I just don't know which one. I have a standard one for my Rockwell milling machine and this one has just been sitting around. New arbors are very expensive and most tool companies are no longer stocking them. If ... moresomeone were looking for a 7/8" standard arbor, this one could be sleeved to bring the pilot diameter to 23/32" However, maybe someone has a mill that this arbor fits directly. The arbor's taper. 7/8" diameter shaft, keyway, nut and spacers are in excellent condition. Not much evidence of use, no burrs or damage.
