It is made of cast iron with a nickle plated brass beam and brass weights there is some nickle worn off. the base is 3 1/2 inches wide by 4 1/2 inches long. it is 4 1/2 inches tall to the top of the 2 1/2 inch pan that has four, 1 inch tall pieces of wire soldered to it. the beam is 8 inches long and is marked in graduations of 0, 3, 41/2, 9, and 18 grams on both sides. there is light rust on the underside but it appears to be complete and works. thanks for looking and good luck.

This is a large heavy commercial weight scale made with 2 slabs of marble and brass parts. The scale has a writing on brass bar that is: J.G. Alvarez Representante linier 1847- U.T.45 loria 2950" screwed to the marble. The top 2 plates have also some writing in spanish. The scale is in fairly good condition. The brass parts have design on them, the brass plates have some small dents, the marble slabs has some very minute chips on the corner edge and the screws have some rust due to the age.
