This auction is for a used Ohaus 800 Series Triple Beam Balance. This balance is extremely accurate. I have checked the scale completely. And it is if perfect working order. The scale zeros correctly, and has been verified with test weight to ensure it reads correctly. I have also checked the three weights that are included on another accurate scale, and they are all accurate to the number stamped on their housing. This balance also comes with a Tare bar, so you can eliminate a container, and just weigh contents. Unlike the piles of 700 series balance on ebay. The 800 series balance reads in Pounds, Decimal Ounces, and Fractional Ounces. So if you are looking for a accurate balance, but don’t want to have to convert from metric, this is the auction for you. This is a used instrument. It is perfect working order, but it came from a print shop, ... moreso it has some ink stains on it from years of measuring printing ink. The ink in no way affects the way the instrument works. There are also a few chips in the paint on the weights that are included, but I couldn’t find a difference in the actual weight and the stamped weight, so the few chips don’t affect the operation. PAIR OF OHAUS TRIPLE BEAM 700 800 SERIES 2610 G BALANCE SCALES
Up for bid is a pair of Ohaus Series 700/800 Laboratory triple beam balance scales. Overall they are both in good condition. Both appear to work as they should. The first scale shows a small amount of writing in sharpie and some etched in text on the lower front in two places. The plate on the top shows moderate surface wear and scratching and is a bit dirty with a very small amount of light surface rust. All of the weights are present and it appears to be in good condition overall. The second scale shows some tape residue towards the bottom. It is generally in good shape and shows only minor exterior wear. One of the weights on the top is missing(0-100 gram scale) It looks to be complete otherwise. See pictures for a better idea of condition.
