They appear to be in fair to good condition but I do not have the knowledge/ability to test them otherwise. You are therefore buying them as-is. Noted Imperfections(via visual inspection) Gossen Light Meter Tester has some wear/residue near the top of the gray plastic frame(see pic) This does not appear as if it would affect its functionality. It does require a battery(or batteries) to work. Which is/are NOT included in this sale. Norwood Light Meter Tester has some white discoloration on interior of both sides of clear plastic frame/cover(see pics) I was not sure ... moreif this was normal and/or a part of its original design. Old Sekonic light meter WORKS vintage gauge tester test japan made sensor
This is a cool old fashioned ligh sensor from Sekonic! They are still in business today! Looks like the 1960s or maybe eariler. Made in Japan. Comes with case. Two toned color. Dial still turns to adjust the measure ment you need. This was used by photographers to measure the light's brightness so they could accurately guage how to take the proper photograph. That was before digital cameras when we couldn't see how it came out untill a day or two later. The idea being able to see if you need to add or subtract lightong or flash to get a better pic to save from more shootings or film. This was obviously a hand held model. And it still seems to work just fine. As light hits the top of the sensor you will see a guage move as the light gets brighter. You can cover it with your hand, blocking the light, and see the needle drop, then let ... morego and see the needle move as light hits it. Its very sensitive, not some cheap crap. Very rare to find and were Rollei factory test equipment. I have tested fully and this system is working as it should. This tester has lots of different options and very easy to operate(look at eight different modes of testing! The I just installed a fresh 12v 50w bulb in the TM030L Light source and it is working perfectly. The tester has both sensor attachments for 6x6 and 35mm cameras. You can test Rollei cameras or any other type of shutters. I just tested a Copal#1 shutter and had perfect results. The light barrier adjusts for different formats. This is a nice little set of do it yourself auto diagnostic tools. The inductive timing light by Actron(comes with instructions) will work on any older vehicles that still had adjustable timing-now most cars are only adjustable at the factory or sometimes the dealership through re programming. I only used it a couple of times to set the base timing on my old 94 pick up truck. Remember. This can only set the base(initial) timing on most vehicles as most vehicles will have computer(s) that control the advancing/retarding of spark for various loads and speeds while your are driving down the road. The light works fine as long as you connect it properly, but this is not a rugged professional tool in an all steel housing. If you treat it gently and don't drop it on concrete or kick it around it should last a long time. The coolant tester is ... morethe hydrometer type-the different colored balls have different densities and the stronger your concentration of anti-freeze the more will float up. This is useful to tell you if your anti-freeze to water mixture is balanced. You want something in the middle-3-4 balls floating would be a good mix. None or 1 floating would be bad-as that would basically be plain water. 2 is questionable. Maybe still ok for milder climates. 5 would not be too good either, probably too strong a mix of antifreeze. Anyway, these are just guidelines, as there can be many other cooling system problems than the mix of the coolant, but it can be a good quick and easy health check. The A.C. gauge is another relatively quick check of overall system health. You connect it to the schroeder valve on your A.C. usually low pressure port) check your service manual or ask someone if you are not sure on this* and it tells you the relative state of charge of the freon in your car. Generally green and blue are ok-red and yellow could be a problem. The instructions(legend. Key) are on a label on the top of the gauge itself. Again, just gives you a good starting point so you can either perhaps charge the system
