Here for auction is a used Sylvania Light Meter(Model DS-2050) that reads out in Footcandles. I have checked the meter in various lighting conditions and found it to read appropriately for low light and high light conditions. I have no way to check its absolute accuracy or calibrate it. But I think it probably works on a pretty simple principle and wou ld suffice for non-critical application. This meter is good mainly for indoor lighting applications. In bright sunlight it will saturate at 2000 FC.the max capability of the meter. It is in fairly good physical shape and comes with a 9v battery installed.
