The unit was in perfect working order when stored(company went out of business) Most recent calibration was 1997. The lighting meter was treated with great care by engineering professionals. It was used primarily in an R&D setting. With only a few trips to the'field' in its quality protective case. Note: I just installed four AA batteries to test the meter with various heads attached. And everything appears to be in excellent working order. Display is correct.
