We then tested the basic functionality of the unit without any attachments- We were able to get a varying decibel reading next to an electric pump(the photographs show the variation when the unit was moved farther away from the pump) With the headphones installed. We could also hear a variance in the loudness. We then tried using the flexible probe next to the pump- There was no change in the decibel reading on the unit.
