Vintage Yokogawa MARS 25301 MODEL H-10B Electronic Refrigerant Leak Detector
This electronic leak detector is the instrument standard for the State of California Air Quality Management Dept. AQMD. They have the strictest air quality laws in the country, their standard of refrigerant leak is ounces per year and as a State Certified Auditor, I had to audit every a/c + r unit under my care yearly for leaks. I bought this unit in 1998, I've used it regularly and its sat on a shelf in my garage since my retirement in 2002. it comes with replacement filters for the sensor element plus operating instructions and forms to get it repaired and calibrated. The calibration leak sample bottle needs to be filled with R-11. I've tested it and I noticed that the pump vibrates louder on the medium and large leak settings. Normally the serviceman will use it for leak checking automobile air conditioning, and home and commercial air conditioning or refrigeration equipment.
