After i got it I plugged it in to test it and the unit itself powered up and the displays worked everything sounded like it was running ok but the freezer did not get cold. It could just need to be charged and if thats the case you are getting an amazing deal because these freezers retail at over $8000.00. Jouan Deep Freezer Up for auction is a used Jouan PowerFreeze Deep Freezer. Model VXS 490. This unit is in good physical condition with only minor scuffs and scratches due to normal wear. All the buttons and labeling are clear and legible. The unit will drop to a temperature of-87ºC. It is includes a manual and the few other tools shown. Please refer to the pictures provided below for more details on the condition of the item. When we tested this unit it powered on fine. We plugged the unit in and set it to-80°C and let it run for 24 hours. It very slowly started to cool down but within a few hours it was down around freezing. We checked it around midnight and it was about-40 Celsius and running well and still cooling down. The unit only got down to-61C. Also this was in a 45F room if that affects the performance.
