This flat lap and grinder are in great condition! The dry grindstone is slightly used and discolored from grinding colored stones but is still 95%+ in good condition. DON'T BE FOOLED by the slight discoloration.All the stones i used on the stone were red or brown. if you want a sharper edge, the actual grindstone can be flipped as that side is completely new or swapped with a diamond coated wheel. At least that is what I think it is. I cannot find a sticker or maker’s mark on it. But it looks like the Hi-Tech machine and comes with Hi-Tech discs and instructions. This came from the estate of a geology professor who I don’t think ever used it. The machine is governed by a variable speed switch that allows you to run it at very low or quite high RPM. It is quiet. So you can use it at home or in an RV. The specially designed water spray shield keeps water in the work area and not on you. Clean up is easy.
