Lapidary Vi-Bro-Lap Vibrolap flat lap machine Diamond Pacific vibratory lapping
You are bidding without reserve on a used Vi-bro-lap flat lap machine. Model numbers on the accompanying Diamond Pacific catalog refer to both 20VL and 27VL. The bed of the lap plate here is 25.5 inches across on the inside. So I figure this is the 27VL model. Check online to see what it sells for new! I don’t know how old this is, but I think less than 8 years. This machine has a Yakima label. I assume DP in Barstow bought up the rights to this model from Vi-Bro-Lap, unless it’s still made in Yakima under the DP name. This machine has not been cleaned since its last use. A few rocks were still in it when I photographed it. I brushed aside some of the grit left in the pan so the photo could show the depth of the crosshatched grooves in the plate. Also included are a variety of plastic bumper rings(home-made) and some wooden bumper guards(home-made) ... moreand a bunch of lead weights(you guessed it, home-made) and some misc cleaning tools and stuff that seems to go with it. Like a splash guard, and a couple of rocks that are in the process of being lapped. The plate turns over for a polishing surface on the other side. The former owner(a perfectionist) always took good care of his machines and tinkered with them until they ran perfect. I remember him talking about how it took weeks to get this thing level in his(not-so-level) basement until it worked perfectly. He read articles on the best ways to use it, etc. so it was treated well. In the last 2 years it hasn’t been run at all but before that it was used primarily to polish the stones for a rock-floored stoop outside the back door. I think that’s why he bought this machine in the first place. Outside of that one major project, it wasn’t used much. It appears to run fine—motor is good, etc. I cleaned off some parts of the undercarriage and there are a few rust spots because it’s been in a humid basement, but that’s just cosmetic. Amritool 6" flat lap cab machine
This is nice flat cab machine with five steel laps from 100 grit to 3000 grit. It has one felt lap for diamond paste polishing and one leather lap. One drip cup and one catch cup. This unit is ready to cab. I have used it and it works great. Most laps of this type come with stickon lap pads that wear out fast and uneven. The steel laps last much longer and provide an even surface for precision cabbing. 15 inch Raytech H-15 Vibratory Flat Lap machine
You are bidding on a Raytech 15 inch H-15 Vibrating Flat Lap. I bought this new about 20 years or so ago. Used it on 2 or 3 bunches of rock and that's it. It works good. And is in good condition although I am missing 1 of the 1 5/8 inch rubber balls it rides on. So I replaced them with 3 new racquet balls that are bigger and not solid, but it does seem to work. I think finding the replacement balls should not be a problem, i am also including the two original balls with it. You have the machine, with tray, one polish pad, and one plastic bumper ring. All works great. Shipping $50.00 to the lower 48 states, if it turns out to be less I will refund that amount.

At least that is what I think it is. I cannot find a sticker or maker’s mark on it. But it looks like the Hi-Tech machine and comes with Hi-Tech discs and instructions. This came from the estate of a geology professor who I don’t think ever used it. The machine is governed by a variable speed switch that allows you to run it at very low or quite high RPM. It is quiet. So you can use it at home or in an RV. The specially designed water spray shield keeps water in the work area and not on you. Clean up is easy. Included with the machine are a number of extras. All are 8“ In the first picture from top left to bottom right: four 8” diamond discs in unopened cardboard all in a ... morestack- Type 1 100 mesh. Waffle disc 100 mesh, waffle disc 180 mesh, waffle disc 260 mesh; 3 aluminum backing plates, a Type I 180 mesh diamond disc(unused and also shown on the machine) 3 composite backing plates, and a Top Plate 600 mesh disc. In the second picture from top left to bottom right: Diamond Smoothing discs 325. 600( and 1200 mesh; 2 Tech 10 Polish Pads, Final Polish Pad. The polisher and discs are in excellent. 27 inch Vibrating Flat lap machine pre-loved :)
Vi-bro-lap flat lap machine is who I think makes this unit 27VL. The bed of the lap plate here is 25.5 inches across on the inside. So I figure this is the 27VL model.
