The TX816 is a 4 space high rack which houses a power supply and eight TF1 modules. Each module is an independent DX7 with 16 note polyphony. This means that you have the possibility of 128 note poly. And eight part multitimbrality. A TF1 module is a DX7 on a single circuit board with almost no front panel controls. Each TF1 features three push buttons for parameters change and a simple display for basic information on the sound patch actually playing. Each TF1 module consists of a 16-voice, 6-operator digital FM synth engine, with an independent audio out(XLR) and MIDI I/O. Each module can be programmed via MIDI. Capstone micro turbine/ generator. Rotates at 96.000 RPM to produce 30 KW of power. The generator is inside the neck part, which is also the air intake. Exhaust comes out of the top opening. The turbine was used in a mobile application(it was the engine of an electric bus) but the same turbine is used in stationary applications for power generation. These turbines can work continuously for years. The tag on it says"Good Engine, Use for testing only" so I assume it was used very little where other turbines did daily work. Unable to test since I don't have the experience.
