i don't know much about this instrument. on the motor it says emesco no. 30 by meisinger co. i was told this was some type of grinder drill used in dentistry. it has the splash hood and who ever used it last put tape on it ni guess so it wouldn't slide out and break. the base is cast iron and the backis aluminum. it still has the porcelain light fixture. there are 2 switches for the motor and the light. the cord has some nicks in it so if i was going to use this i nwould probably change the cording. but i plugged it in and it still works. the drill tip has surface rust but just needs to be cleaned. this is ll i know about this. Mounted plexiglas shield, insert tray, and exhaust cutout; freestanding Handler Dust Suction unit beside the Splash Hood. We are provinding a 30 inch long corrugated hose 3 inches OD for suction from the exhaust cutout in the back of the hood to the suction unit(see in the pictures) The hood's exhaust has a mesh screen, manual slide closeoff gate, and flange for the hose. The hood is of all aluminum construction and all the metal surfaces are sharp and clean. Everything here is in fine working condition. The dust suction unit has a 1/30 horsepower Fasco Motor for suction rated 1.1 amps, 115 Volts AC single phase, 60 hertz. The suction unit has ... morea steel body and the discharge has the Handler 65A Mesh Filter for air filtration. The filter is 10 inches long by 10 inches wide and 2 inches deep. Overall the hood is 8-1/4 inches wide by 12 inches tall by 11-1/4 inches deep. The insert tray is 6 inches internal width by 10 inches internal length by 1-1/8 inches external height. The hood net weight is 2 pounds. The suction unit is 10-1/4 inches long by 8-1/2 inches wide by 24 inches tall and weighs 12 pounds net. The dust collector is integral to the back of the hood and discharges to the back left hand side when you are in front of the hood. For powering the unit and light there is one 44 inches long AC cord with standard 2-prong plug end for 115 VAC receptacles in the USA. The light in the hood has a slide switch on its holder, and a toggle switch is on the back of the dust collector motor for turning it off and on. Baldor 353T 1/4 HP dental polishing lathe in very good used condition. The unit was removed directly from a working environment after two practices merged into one.leaving them with two lathes. It includes one splash hood as well as the polishing wheel chuck. The chuck is slightly bent on the tip. But it does not affect functionality as you can still easily align your desired polishing wheel on the piece.
