We have here a wonderful art deco vase by Charles Schneider of France that is fully and correctly signed on the base with a small Red White& Blue candy cane glass rod. Fused into the base of this vase. The cane signature is called"Berlingot" and it was used only for very early pieces. Around 1918- 1922. This is a beautiful piece and it has a lot going on with it. First it has several colors of glass. The interior base glass is yellow and that glass has been internally decorated with cluthra like random air bubbles. This gives this more texture and depth. The other layers of colors are pink and green and these colors are blended or mottled with green mixed with streaks of yellow on the neck part and pink mixed with ... moregreen on the bulbus section and base. This has an art deco acid cut back design in intaglio/ cameo cut into the glass to expose the yellow glass. This vase is about 1O 1/4' tall x 2 3/4' across the widest part with a mouth 1 3/8' across. This is cased glass with AT LEAST 3 layers of glass. This is from a smoke& pet free home. We collect high end glass and know how to inspect it so we did a careful visual and touch exam of this. We NEVER used this to hold water or flowers so there is NO water deposit or damage to the interior or exterior. The details and fine art work are FRESH& VIVID& it's Damage Free. No dings, chips, nicks or repairs. This is a EASY 9+ OUT of 1O as to condition. Tap this& it rings like a bell so you know there are NO hidden cracks. Please U.S. Bidders Only Here is a nice used Linhof-select Schneider-Kreuznach Tele-Xenar 180mm. F/5.5 lens for 6x9 medium format. Serial number 3017121. Excellent portrait lens in medium format. The lens is mounted on a late-style Technika board. Razor sharp, the lens was used on a 6x9 Technika IV(actually a 23) Glass is clean and clear. Shutter sounds good and the blades look great. See photo) There is some crazing on the barrel and shutter bright work. And it looks like a couple specks of internal dust. They will have no affect on images and might not be internal, but between shutter and glass. This is a good price on a really clean lens and a great performer. My interest in 11x14 is consuming most of my spare time and this lens just isn't getting used. This a very nice example and I've really enjoyed the lens. This auction is for a set of three Schneider-Kreuznach Componon-S enlarging lenses. The focal lengths and maximum apertures are 50mm/f 2.8. 100mm/f/5.6 and 150mm/f 5.6. All of them are in excellent condition cosmetically, mechanically and optically. These lenses are made in Germany and they are very sharp. Front caps are included for all three lenses. There is also a rear cap and box for the 150mm lens. Retaining rings are included for the 50mm and 150mm lenses, but all three lenses are threaded and will attach to the proper size lens board without a retaining ring.
