The counter has an engraved plate on the front with the letter/number combination of what appears to be C100816- 1. If you enlarge the 3rd photo you will be able to see it better. I sent photos and information to the company but no one is sure when it was made or exactly what it was used for. In fact. They hadn't seen this particular counter. The key is marked"Corbin Cabinent& Lock" and BVR 1. The counter works just fine- it has seen some use. The numbers go up to 999.999 ... moreand can be reset to 000,000 again. The lever changes each individual digit. The key changes them all. The whole piece measures about 8" long including the lever and the key. The box is 2-3/4" long up and down the numbers. Antique Veeder Root 5 Digit Counter Working Industrial Hay Bailer Loom
I’m not sure what this old counter came off of. But from what little I was able to research I’ve been lead to believe that it was a hay bailer or a loom. It’s all metal with a blue paint job. The nameplate and trim are brass. It works fine, keeps in sync, and the reset lever turns all of the wheels simultaneously. It has general wear and tear. But doesn’t appear to have any significant damages. The case measures 3 ½ in. X 2 ½ in. X 2 ½ in. and the wheel that the belt sits on is about 2 ¼ in. in diameter.
