I inserted the 2 black wires into a wall outlet 3 times Each time it was energized. The counter forwarded 1 digit up to 000006 as seen in my last picture The nice local inventor that I bought this from assured me that he bought it new and never installed it It needs a key to reset it to zero or the larger gear could be removed and the counter could be reset to zero without buying a new key Please note the key has become lost.
