Wisner 4x5 Technical Wood Field Camera w/ Schneider 90mm. 150mm& 210mm Lenses& Bag Bellows The Wisner Co. of Marion Mass. made large format cameras from 1988 to 2006. This one is serial number 435. They were one of the leading American manufacturers of sheet film cameras, along with Zone VI. T he Wisner Traditional is a premium-grade wooden field camera with most of the usual view camera movements. It has front tilt. Rise& fall, shift and swing, rear tilt and swing. The bellows are 20.5" fully extended, which is typical for a camera in this class but far more than the 12" bellows seen in most wooden field cameras. The bellows are also interchangeable with"bag" bellows for extreme wide angle lenses and the leather bag bellows are included. The weight of this particular camera is 6.75 pounds without lens, just ... moreunder eight pounds with the heaviest of the included lenses. The lenses are all German-made Schneider lenses. Probably the best known name in large format optics. The 90mm/8 is a Schneider Super Angulon, the 150mm/5.6 and the 210mm/5.6 are both Symmar-S. All are in the newer all-black Copal shutters. The lenses are all in what I would call 8.5 condition. Just normal wear and tear from being used, the lenses glass is clear and clean. The shutters sound accurate compared to my other lenses. The lenses all have some of what is commonly called"Schneideritis" to some extent. Which is a flaking of the flat black paint inside of the lens that is visible from the front as white specs but has no effect on image quality as it isn't in the image path. The Technical Field camera differs from the Wisner Traditional camera in that it has rear rise(uncommon in field cameras) and geared rear base tilt. This particular camera is serial number 391. The camera is in what I would call 8.0 condition. Just normal wear and tear from being used, with some spots of heavier than normal tarnishing. Metal needs some cleaning and polishing. The black handle on the bottom mechanism is breaking, the metal shaft underneath badly pitted and rusted. 210mm f4.5 Xenar- The shutter only works at one speed. Around 1/100 second. So even set to one second, it clicks at 1/100, etc. Everything else: glass, shutter leafs, diaframe is clean 150mm f5.6 Xenar- This is a useable. Modern 4x5 lens. Notice it is on a black wooden lens board that does not fit the camera. It was purchased separately. Copal shutter sounds good at 1 sec, works good all speeds. Everything clean. 90mm Angulon f6.9 wide angle- Has had some material. Probably foam, stuck to the front of the metal ... morebody of the lens, so there is some paint removal and rough spots. Lens glass is clean and the compur shutter works good. 9 Film Holders- well used with lots of stickers and dings. Some are wood. Could have the paint removed for an antique look. Schneider Symmar 150mm f5.6/ 265mm f12 Convertible Lens Note: This listing is for the lens elements only. No shutter is included. This lens fits on a Copal/Compur#1 shutter and has reversible lens elements allowing you to have two focal lengths in one lens! Optically. The front lens shows some spotting on the front element. That looks similar to dust. But won't clean off. There is also an ever so slight amount of haze present near the edges internally. Both of these together could have some small effect on image quality. Or possibly non e at all. But I have not film tested it and cannot say for sure. The rear lens shows a very( light haze also. I really don't think this would affect image quality. But I it's worth mentioning. Because of these issues. The glass could use some internal cleaning to bring it back to excellent condition, ... morebut I beleive it to still be usable as-is. Very gently used. Stored warm and dry, no smoking environment. I am the original owner. I shoot primarily SLR or Hasselblad. 4x5 has never been my primary format. Really beautiful clean glass and coatings with no marks. Scratches, cleaning marks or issues. Shows what looks like dust at the very outer edge(see pic) THERE IS NOTHING IN THE WORKING PART OF THE GLASS- it is clean and clear. The filter ring is perfectly round with perfect threads and finish. The Copal No. 0 shutter performs as it should. I tested the shutter speeds plus bulb and time and they all perform as they should and look and sound accurate- I have no equipment to test them otherwise. No sticking or hesitating. The diaphragm movements are nice and smooth and the blades look perfect. The lens body also looks great with no dings, dents, scrapes or brassing. Schneider-Kreuznach Componon 80mm f5.6 This lens in in nice condition. Although there is a very slight internal haze. However, it doesn't look significant enough that it would have much, or possibly any, effect on image quality. The glass is scratch free and has no internal fungus! The iris stops down properly and the blades are oil-free. The is a great little lens that would be ideal for somebody starting up a home darkroom. It's 80mm focal length will give you enough coverage to print from 6x6 or 6x7 medium format films. It can also become useful when printing from 35mm film, as it allows you to have the enlarger head up a bit higher in order to more accurately and comfortably dodge and burn your prints! The rear thread size is approximately 29mm in diameter. And it comes with a retaining ring.

Schneider Componon 135mm f5.6 Enlarging Lens This vintage enlarging lens is in good shape and would be a great versatile lens for somebody starting up a home darkroom on a budget. The glass has no scratches or fungus. But there is some internal haze present. I've not tested making prints with this lens so I' m unsure as to what kind of effect. If any, it would have on your prints. The aperture blades are still in good shape and stop down properly. This lens will cover any film size up to and including 4x5. It also can come in handy for printing smaller sizes such as 35mm by allowing you to dodge and burn more comfortably with the enlarger head higher up!

LAST ONE FOR SALE: Selling my last 2x Schneider/ISCO anamorphic lens for DSLR attachment. This works great with my Canon 5D mark II(~85mm and up) as well as my Panasonic GH2 and GH3(~50mm and up) and produces an ultra-wide 2x anamorphic image. Sharp wide open. Focuses to around 10-15ft, which is generally very close for an anamorphic lens, use diopters to focus closer. This larger version of the anamorphic has a front barrel that is very convenient to drop in 82 or 86mm diopters for nice close focus. Use an XL anamorphic lens clamp to get this lens to attach to a 72mm threaded lens(available from eBay seller eevision for $60) I use step rings to get it to work with other lenses. You may need a tripod ring or rail system for best support. Works with pretty much any DSLR available, full frame, APS-C(7d, 60d, t3i t4i) m43 cameras, etc. Great ... morewith Black Magic Cinema Camera and Red One or Red Epic as well. Anamorphic lens glass is in very good condition. This glass is multi-coated. May have some small internal dust which has zero effect on the image quality as with all anamorphic attachment and may even be able to be cleaned as this lens can be completely disassembled. The lens also has some very minor cosmetic imperfections which do not affect the usability or overall appearance. Very good condition for a vintage lens. Originally cost $4000. This is a sharp anamorphic edge to edge. I've tried the Panasonic LA 7200 and the Century Optics anamorphic lenses and the Schneider ISCO lens is significantly sharper and actually usable at fast apertures. With much less edge aberration, LA 7200 and Century were unusable for me sharpness wise) and the 2x anamorphic look is starting to become more popular(see any recent music video) Much closer in look to Sankor, Kowa, Bell& Howell anamorphic.
