This machine cannot be hauled by a tri-axle behind a dump truck; it is just too big. In the 28 years I have owned it I have put about 400 hrs. on it. The hour meter reads: 3.063 hrs. I only used it for personal use around the farm- not for commercial purposes. I don't need it anymore and that is why I am selling it. Within the last three years the injection pump was rebuilt and a couple of the injectors were replaced. I completely flushed out the fuel tank and the engine was running fine. It's been parked for the last year because of a fuel starvation problem. I was driving it and began to feel hesitation and parked it immediately. It would not restart and has been sitting since. I'm no mechanic but have over the years maintained the machine. The engine runs strong and does not smoke. Transmission works great. Local pick up only. Buyer to pay all shipping expenses. Selling my Massey Ferguson model 30 diesel Backhoe. Perkins diesel engine was completely overhauled three years ago with a new clutch. Machine runs like new. Hi and low range transmission. Machine is extremely strong. I have lifted cars with the front loader. Tires all hold air rears are a little dry rotted. Been the most reliable machine I have had.The small cylinder for the power steering does leak and could use a repacking. I never fixed it because with the counter weight of the backhoe you don't really need it. Brakes work very good. It does have a three-point hitch and a PTO I do not have the arms for the three point but they are easy to get if needed. The backhoe is frame mounted but easy removable with quick disconnects. I bought this backhoe 21 years ago.I'm a retired mechanic.And over the years I've kept it running.It now runs better then when I bought it.I used it to pull oak stumps out and bury them.The tractor has good rubber,easy perkins diesel start,and will last another 20 years if you baby it.A great farm addition for someone with mechanical ability,who can keep a watch on it, and see that all the nuts and bolts are checked. I've repaired several small oil leaks,it still has a couple,I'm working on them)Five years ago I installed new pistons,barrels,bearings,rings,new valves+springs and seals.This is a big heavy machine,I don't know the weight.I would guess 6000 LB'S.Please ask any questions.
