Ford Front Loader and Backhoe Heavy Equipment
This Ford Front Loader is very strong. A tight hoe, and easy to operate. It is a gasoline machine with 1571 hours. I had the hydraulics for the front loader redone in fall so they are new. It just sat all winter. I have used it to redig my drain off ditches and it did a wonderful job! It does need a new clutch- my mechanic looked at it. Other than that is runs and works great. We have up for auction our Ford 3400 Front Loader Backhoe. I have owned this for 7 or 8 years and have had no big issues. My only reason for selling it is because I have a Freightliner truck that has to have the motor rebuilt! It has a new starter. Solenoid, plugs, a few hydraulic lines, etc. It starts right up and runs great! All hydraulics work fine. The front loader is 2 ft. tall and 5 1/2 ft. wide, and the backhoe is(grave digger) 3 ft. wide. You can put a smaller width on if you wish. I own many rental properties and have used this to dig water lines, sewer lines, power lines, and install telephone poles for power lines, along with digging for a drainage line behind my own home. It's also very handy in the winter to pile snow high! It has a 3 cylinder gas motor, a 3 forward gear each(high and low) trans. along with reverse(high and ... morelow) Now for any problems I'm aware of The vinyl cover on the seat cushion is gone.needs to be replaced or covered(not a big deal) It has one return hydraulic line(on hoe) that needs to be repaired or replaced(not a big deal, I currently have a hose on it returning it to a 5 gal pail so I can add it back to hydraulic system) The muffler is off, but it's not loud what so ever(as you'll see if you watch the video below on youtube) As you can see in the pictures this is not a new machine(1965-1975) it is rusty, scratched, and so on, and as such is being sold as is where is. Anyone that knows these machines knows they run forever and don't depreciate in value. Ford 555A Backhoe No Reserve!
Up for bids is a decent 555A Ford Backhoe. I have owned this machine the past 10 years and have used it very little. It has a three cylinder diesel engine that runs strong. It has a 4 speed transmission that is strong with a left hand reverser. The tires are approximatley 40 percent on the rear and 50 on the front. It has a two stick control for the rear bucket. I put new digging teeth on it a few years ago and they are still in very good shape. It has some minor hydraulic cylinder leakage and the swing pins and bushings need replaced. But still work. I replaced a power steering hose and it stiill has a leak and it has to be filled periodically, but powersteering is strong otherwise The ft bucket is in poor condition but I have another nice one that goes with it. We have a Ford 555 backhoe that runs great. It has some new hydraulic lines and two new front tires. It does have some rust on it. The front windshield is cracked but does not block your vision and there is one tooth broken off the hoe. I am unsure of the exact year. The guy I bought it from said he believed it to be a 1982. I am offering a very nice condition ford jubilee backhoe with Sherman backhoe and loader. The tractor starts easy. Runs beautiful and has high and low range transmission. All hydraulic cylinders are in good operating condition. Some of the hoses have cracking on the outer layer but no leaks. Pins and bushings are in good shape with minimal wear. The PTO pump that operates the hoe will need rebuilding. It works good enough to raise the hoe and all movements but not for digging. The loader uses a pump off the front of the engine and that works fine. I would be happy to let you inspect it before bidding and would appreciate cash at pickup but do accept paypal. You are bidding on early 1980 Ford 555 backhoe loader. I bought this one year ago to fix my septic system for my new house. And it did a great job. Everything is working. It is powerful and it picks up heavy rocks like a feather. It had been newly painted right before I bought and it still looks new. Hour meter says 5600 hours but it is not working.I used about 100 hours without any problem. It has 2 minor problems I noticed. As picture shows, engine oil leaks very little from between engine block and head gasket. It is visible but very little so I never had to add any oil while I was using. I didn't have any problem to stop but I think break needs to be adjusted. Other than that seals and pins are all good and no leaks. It starts up right away and it is ready to work. Even if it is old one but it will do all the jobs you are trying to ... moredo, and I am sure it has great value for the price I am asking. 1983 Ford 555 backhoe - 2nd owner 3437 Hours - Not Running - No Reserve
This is a 1983 backhoe. I am the second owner having purchased it from the County in 2007 with 2973 Hours. They said the engine was rebuilt shortly before I bought it. A few weeks ago the engine stared to have a knocking noise when it warmed up. I had a mechanic out last weekend who changed the oil and after running it for about 10 minutes it died and he said the engine siezed up. So. It is availabe as it sits on the ground today. FORD 4500 Tractor and Loader with 755 Backhoe (jump on and start digging)
Description: 1975 to 1978 Ford 4500 loader with 15' Series 755 backhoe(marked 19-551 on hoe) 3 cylinder diesel engine. 62.3 horse power, power or shuttle shift, 4x2 2 wheel drive, ground clearance is about 12 inches, total weight as you see it is around 10,000 lbs or a little more. Please look at picture of data plate for detailed info on model, unit, engine, trans, axle, etc. Bought this 4 years ago from a contractor friend who had just had the engine rebuilt. I needed it for a small sub-division project. I knew it needed other attention. I did a complete service on it as soon as it was delivered. Then another complete service at approximately 40 hours. I paid $4000 for it and put approximately $5000 in it. I replaced many of the hydraulic hoses with top of the line hoses and fittings, new battery, rebuilt alternator, re-manufactured ... morehydraulic pump, new backhoe king pin and both swing chains, new muffler, re-furbished radiator(flushed and all re-soldered) new tires front and back, professional weld repair to loader arms, replaced most all grease fittings, etc. Tires on this have almost no wear and are Firestone All Traction Utility 16.9-24 with 8 ply rating on back and Cooper M+S LT265/75R16 on the front. I have been starting/running and working hydraulics once a month for past 8 months as it has been sitting. I only used it on and off for about 2 years after I did all the work to it to dig one foundation. One septic system, 1000 ft. of electric/phone ditch, three 60' culvert lines, and removal of about 75 stumps(6" to 24" It has worked great and performed well in some hard shale and rock. It will be great for foundations, septic systems, ditches, culverts and would be a great farm addition or single area use. It is not good for tight areas. Hills, in the woods with lots of trees and a beast to haul. It is not 4-wheel drive! Differential works well though and got me out of some mud and ditches. Runs best at half throttle or a little more with great hydraulic power, more rpm's than that and
