Technics SE-A70 Stereo DC Power Amplifier
This is a vintage Technics SE-A70 Amplifier. I was given this years ago by my grandad and never used it. It has been in my attic for 20 years or so. I pulled it down while doing some cleaning and cleaned most of the dust off of it. The top and sides(wood) are not in pristine condition(has some scratches) and the back is scruffed up but the face and front glass looks good. The VU meters work when music is input. I plugged an RCA into the inputs and plugged them into my phone(with adaptor) and used a home center channel speaker just to test the speaker outputs. It was loud on all 4 channels just from the phone input! I tried the different inputs and speaker outputs and they all work fine. It has a good clear sound and can only imagine what it sould sound like if pushed to potential. I am offering this as is because its so old. This is the perfect-sized little, but powerful audiophile-grade receiver for so many different uses. Cosmetically the unit does have a couple of issues. There is some light surface scratches and other minor blemishes on the top, but the enamel of the unit is perfectly stable and there's absolutely no rust, dings, or dents. There is also some leftover adhesive residue or something just to the right of the"NAD" emblem on the front faceplate, maybe where someone previously had a nameplate or something. Radio Shack stuff often gets a bad rap due to the stores and whatnot. But some of there stuff really is not all that bad. This worked great for us, we only used it for about 20 hours, and its been sitting on shelf ever since, I tested it and it still works great. Letting it go as to clear out some shelf space. Sorry no box or papers with it. It does have a few scratches on it as its traveled around a bit. I'll warranty that it works on arrival but no further. Please note.
