All current new models must have the whole circuit board replaced when defective and the cost of repair is very high, which makes this an excellent analyzer for those looking for a cost effective solution for their application needs. I repair what I sell and I will give special low pricing on repairs for this analyzer for as long as the purchaser owns it. That means no cost troubleshooting and low cost repairs. Not transferrable! Tektronix 494AP Spectrum Analyzer 50 Ohm Input 10 kHz. to 21 GHz. Range(to 325 GHz. With optional mixers not included) Intelligent Markers Internal Reference Oscillator Digital Storage 120 V. to 240 V. Operation This is Tektronix's top of the line model in their 490 Series. I have completely re-conditioned this analyzer to excellent operational and physical condition. It only has about 1500 hours of use on the elapsed time meter. Which means it has spent most of it's life on a shelf. The CRT is bright and sharp. All the functions work properly. It passes all module calibrations and built-in calibration routines. My re-conditioning includes replacing all the high voltage caps in the power supplies. I check the signal transfer from the RF input to the output of the 3rd Converter and replace any parts that have excessive loss on the RF deck. I check the operational parameters of all the circuit modules and replace any defective components. I disassemble the front panel and replace any defective push button switches and parts on the circuit board. I have re-conditioned the cabinet to like new condition.Take a close look at the pics I have included. You won't find a nicer Tek 494AP spectrum analyzer anywhere!
