Vintage 1937 Westinghouse House Electrical Meter Type CA
Cool old Westinghouse electric meter. Would have been used to keep track of how much electricity was being used by a house. There is what I believe to be a date on the label of 9-10-37. There is old paint build up on the base. But the meter and glass appear to be in excellent condition. This would be a great decoration in a room in the industrial style. Or it could be used in a cool industrial style sculpture. Or, take it apart for all the great gears and parts. Has a hanger on the back for easy mounting on a wall. Measures about 7 1/2" tall, 5" deep, and 5 1/2" across. Don't come across these very often!

It is an antique GE polyphase watthour meter. The meter is a large size at 22" long(including the wires along the bottom) X 6 3/4" wide x 6" deep. It weighs 34 pounds. The meter appears to be in good used condition. It has scrapes. Dings an some minor glass scratches. Overall, it presents nicely. The inside of the glass should be cleaned. I don't know if it is complete or if it works. A cool old time gauge. Would look great displayed in with industrial furnishings.

This is very old, circa 1910 1920-Plaque on the front has alot of information. See photos-When you open it. One of the pins in the hinges is gone, the other is still there-there are 2 papers full of information in the top of the lid. They are photographed, also that is not water damage there is a piece of damaged plastic in front, the papers are in great shape-knobs on top are metal. This is a vintage watthour meter manufactured by General Electric. I was from a collection that belonged to a retired electrician. It has been kept in a dry storage for several decades. This meter was used by Wisconsin Hydro Electric Co. and still has the lead seals installed by the company. The meter has been tested and does run. The seals were not broken and meter may be dusty under cover. the glass is not broken. The previous owner made a note on cover with pencil that this meter was discontinued in 1917.
