Well used Sony Tektronix model 315 Oscilloscope. Portable small slimline design with cord and accessory tester probe cord. The cord has been taped in 2 places indicating possible cord damage. And the ground plug removed. As such, I don't feel comfortable trying to test it out and other than powering up, I wouldn't know much how to properly test it. Advertised as used/other may need tlc as-is. But physically looks good with dust and dirt marks(I cleaned it gently once already) and no obvious signs of damage, tampering, or anything inside loose. HP 54100A 1 Gigahertz Digital Oscilloscope If you are looking for a great high speed bench oscilloscope. Consider the HP54100A. It has two channels of up to 1Ghz bandwidth. A separate trigger channel, and an amazing range of automated functions that compute math functions on the waveforms. See the photos to get an idea of how comprehensive and accurate these measurements are. One of the most useful functions is the“Auto” key. Which lets you just hook up the probe, press“Auto” and the scope by itself figures out all the required settings to display two cycles of the waveform, like magic. Be careful looking at these scope. To make sure that a full complement of“pods” are included. These are required for each channel and the trigger channel. And have a BNC connector for attaching a standard scope probe. They fit in slots in the lower right side ... moreof the front panel. A gaping hole is a bad sign– but pods have been readily available on eBay. Of course this unit has all the pods(three for the 54100A– two channels and trigger) Pods come in at least two types. A 1Ghz 50 ohm pod and a 700Mhz 1Mohm pod. This unit includes 2 at 1Ghz and one at 700Mhz. They may be swapped between slots as desired. The condition is good. As you can see in the photos. The display is bright and sharply focused. The unit appears very well calibrated in both the time base and the vertical amplifiers, and with the very sophisticated triggering and display options, this scope should be able to do about whatever you’d like. These oscilloscopes have been in storage for over 30 years in a warm and dry area. Each mainframe is complete and is without any modifications One Type 82 plug-in is operable and the other one is missing several transistors. Both mainframes have been tested with the operable Type 82 plug-in. The covers to the oscilloscopes are stained and dirty. The lot of Tektronix 585 equipment is offered as“parts” and“as is” no returns. Test information. At first turn on. There was a focused spot on the face of one of the mainframes CRT’s and the other mainframe had some wavy lines. There are several in line fuses that I did not check. Its probably one of them which is a quick and easy fix. This unit contains 11 tubes. It shows some signs of age and is out of calibration. It is missing the knob covers for the intensity. Focus, and scale illumination knobs. All other knobs and switches are present. When we first tested this model it was producing 2 images for each source.we managed to get this to go away however it still occasionally produces multiple waveform images on its screen when there should only be one. After it warmed up it started doing a better at reproducing our waveform from the input. It was not very good at reproducing low Hz signals.anything below 100Hz looked like DC Offset being turned off and on. Our conclusion? This machine is in need of a good calibration.
