All the controls work, both vertical channels work fine. You can see the scope displaying both channels in the photos. The self test results are also shown. The trace and crt labels are bright and the focus is good. Both the time and amplitude calibration looks good but I have no way to verify it meets specs. All photos are of the actual unit for sale. Tektronix TG 501 Time Mark Generator/Calibrator plug-in for TM 500 systems. Produces time marker signals. Generated from a stable oscillator timebase, for scope timebase calibration from 1nsec(1GHz) to 5 sec(0.2Hz) in 1-2-5 sequence. This unit is working and calibrated. To the best of my ability to measure. This TG 501 exceeds all factory specs. At 0.1msec(10kHz) an HP 5335A counter(with GPS-DO referenced OCXO timebase) shows a frequency error of less than 1E-5(0.00001% after a two-hour warm up in my TM-503 mainframe. I have verified that the variable timing percent error readout is accurate. I used a Tek 7S12 sampling plugin and S2 sampling head to verify the level amplitude of the 5ns, 2ns and 1ns outputs. Ultra nice BK Precision 1474. 30 MHz, Triggered Sweep, Dual-Trace Oscilloscope With Built-In Signal Delay Line. Have owned and used this scope for quite sometime. Had zero problems with the unit. All the functions seem to work well. Have used it as a HAM station monitor to monitor the SSB transmitted signal with an easy to build signal adapter. This scope looks in exceptional condition and works as well as some of the ultra high dollar equipment we used in the USAF. Will include an original Dynascan PR36 Direct/Low capacity probe in excellent condition. Can change from 10:1 to 1:1 probe very easily. Also a Schlumberger PKW-105, X1, Ref, X10 probe in good condition. Will also include a Tektronix 1:1 plain probe. Has very nice photo copied instruction manual. Power cord wraps around four corner posts on the back, so you can set the scope down ... moreusing the handle, like a suitcase. Vintage RCA Oscilloscope Type WO-535A
From my ham friend's estate. Here is a vintage RCA Oscilloscope Type WO-535A he had in storage. Did not think it could work at all, but plugged in and turned on and a raster appeared; lots of electronic noise on pots and switches. May make a good restoration project. Focus and brightness seem to work and picked up 60 HZ signal at highest gain setting. Am not able to fully test, so sold as is with no return. There is damage at the vertical input connector. Unit very heavy and shipping weight is estimated at over 28 pounds. Condition: Used. Untested. May have damaged parts. Measurements: 16"H x 13"W x 21"D. Velleman PCSGU250, 2 CH Oscilloscope and Function Generator 12-MHz TESTED
Velleman PCSGU250"PC-Lab 2000 LT" TEST& CONFIRMED WORKING. I did some testing today to make sure it works and it does! Channel#1. 2 and signal generator tested OK. I tested time and frequency domain by looping back a 50kHz sine-wave using a 1:1 BNC cable. Both tested fine, I double checked and they look fine on my Agilent scope as well. I have used the Bode feature before and it is really useful. This was an awesome scope for my undergraduate Electrical Engineer courses. It is great for projects and jobs too; surprisingly capable. Downloading data to csv is pretty easy too. To my knowledge includes everything it came with originally(see photos) except box. If it came with a CD. I don't have it so you will have to download the drivers yourself from Velleman website(I did it today and took 5 minutes) Included: PC Oscilloscope ... moreand Function Generator. 60 MHz 1:1 or 1:10 probe. This dual beam oscilloscope is in good shape. Working stable after warming up 10 minutes. It is 400MHz mainframe, dual 1MOhm/ 200MHz amplifier(7A26) dual 50Ohm/ 400MHz amplifier, 400MHz delaying time base(7B85) and 400MHz delayed time base(7B80) Dual beams can show different waveforms in different sweep speed. It's same as two oscilloscopes in the same unit. Following pictures show examples. 1KHz square wave on Beam 1. 400MHz sine wave on Beam 2 with x10 pulled out. Some oscillation on transistor base and collector. In this case Beam 2 is off. 10uS trace is dimmed down, just showing Beam 1 with Amplifier A, ch.1 and ch.2. Amplifier A is using ch.1 only. Beam 1 is on slow sweep(500uS) Beam 2 is on faster sweep(10uS) Delaying time base is triggering time base B with Beam 2. Is focusing 1.431mS after primary trigger by time base A. Similar ... moredelaying operation viewing some unstable waveform. Second wave shifts back and forth. Distance between two varies constantly, causing delayed time base(second wave) not to show stable view. So storage oscilloscope was used to capture pre-trigger view. This is the way how 7844 is designed to change trigger output signal easier than other models. Time base A is controlling next oscilloscope. Two bright spots at top waveform are second and third waveforms. This is very common and convenient function of 7B85 and 7B80 time bases. Demonstration of dual input(chop mode) with different sweep speed. All four channels are shown. Amplifier A is on ch.1 only with 10MOhm probe. Using time base A(1mS) amplifier B is using both ch.1 and ch.2, but triggered by ch.1. Both channes have different frequencies. Amplifier B display mode is ALT. Both inputs are triggered altenatively. High speed sweep by time base B begins to loose left part of drawing. Amplifier A has ch.1 and ch.2 input added together. Two extremes are shown. Tektronix TDS540A 500 MHz 4-Channel Digitizing Oscilloscope TDS 540A
Scope is in pretty decent condition. The high voltage supply for the CRT is in need of repair so it has been disconnected. I connected the VGA output on the back of this unit to my TV to perform tests and collect the above images. I have tested all 4 of the attenuators against the internal reference as well as the buttons on the control panel and it appears fully functional as long as it is attached to an external video source. You can also purchase a LCD kit to replace the outdated CRT assembly and have a self contained scope. Thanks for looking!
