Tektronix 2230 100MHZ DSO Oscilloscope CALIBRATED
The Tektronix 2230 is a dual-channel 100 Mhz Digital Storage Oscilloscope designed to operate in wide range of environmental conditions. 2 millivolt vertical sensitivity Trigger View Maximum horizontal sweep speed of 50 nanosecond( 2 ns when magnifier is use) Stable triggering to 150 MHZ Cursor support- voltage and time Nicely running oscilloscope with the calibration checked on 10/23/2014. The scope does have two flaws. One is the fan is slow to startup. When you first turn on the scope the fan turns slowly. If you leave the scope on for a couple of minutes then turn off the scope and turn it right on the fan usually restarts to full speed. The problem seem to be thermal.If you don't wait long enough before you repower the scope you will to repeat the procedure. Once the fan electronics warm up everything is fine. If leave scope turned ... moreoff for several hours you will need to repeat the power cycle to get the fan to come up to normal speed. The second flaw is the cursor control is a little erratic. I sprayed some contact cleaner on the control housing. There is a small crack where various sections meet so some cleaner seem to have seeped in so the control works much better. As is CRT for 2445. 2445A, 2445B, 2465, 2465A, 2465B. Unknown condition so sold as is for parts. No returns. I was going to just chuck it but thought maybe somebody on a real low budget might want it to get their scope going. Here is what I do know about it. It came from a 2445A serial B013553 that I bought as a parts machine. That scope was already partially cannibalized when I bought it so no way to know if the CRT or anything else worked. I used parts from it and finally completely disassembled it to conserve space. I can tell you the A5 board had a problem. Perhaps that is why it was originally turned into a parts machine, but can’t be sure. Based on the discoloration of the anode lead. I would guess it has 20,000 hours. Since the A5 board was bad. The hour meter it keeps was not available not that it can be trusted for true use hours. ... moreAs can be seen. It is intact, no bent pins, dirty but complete. HP54100A 1GHZ Oscilloscope
This listing is for the HP 1GHZ Oscilloscope in the pictures and descriptions here. The pictures show the one you shall receive. HP54100A digital 1 GHZ Oscilloscope. This unit seems to mostly work with 2 exceptions I found right away. The big knob does not work at all and the unit fails Self Test at Loop 42- 4 Loops. Seems to work fine. Loop 42 is designated as Display, I am not able to figure out what is wrong with it. It may be the knob section. I tried swapping it out and the error persisted. I may have had a bad spare was the reason. The unit is still tune able by using the arrow keys, they work the same controls as the knob. The arrow keys work. The oscillators and probes in the pictures are custom made, thus the waveforms look a little off. Sold as is, mostly working. I used& loved this Tektronix 475 scope for years. It always worked well. But recently I've purchased a fancy Agilent digital scope. So it's finally time to find this old Tek475 a new home. The oscilloscope includes 2 Tek P6109 probes(only one has the spring grabber) And a third non-Tek 100 MHz probe for the external trigger. As you can see in the 2nd photo. I connected a function generator for testing, just to make sure everything still works. The function generator isn't included, but the 3 scope probe are. I didn't exhaustively test every single feature, but I did spend several minutes strolling down nostalgia lane with several waveforms and settings. remembering old projects where I used this scope.
