We then turned the shaker to the max and the display stated 140. We then turned on the cooler switch and let the item sit for about 30 minutes. The display stated 16.3 at the start and after the 30 minutes the display then stated 10.3. We then turned the temperature up and the item seemed to change temperature. This item includes multiple glassware holders and a user manual. This is a vintage U.S. Standard Sieve Series. No. 50, Opening.0117 inches or 300 MM, made by W.S. Tyler, Incorporated, a subsidiary of Combustion Engineering, Inc, Screening Division, Mentor, OH. It measures approximately 8-1/2 inches in diameter at the top, 2-5/8 inches tall and 8 inches in diameter at the bottom. It is old and has been used a lot but is still in good condition and has a nice tarnished finish. The spots on the wire screen are only spots and it is solid. I did not try to clean it because I did not want to damage the tarnished finish. I will be happy to combine shipping if you are interested in more than one of my sieves. However, it's sold as-is, as described. The unit has been tested for heating, cooling and shaking and everything appears to be functioning as it should. The only problem I could find with the unit is the main power button. It does not respond to touch. When the unit is plugged in, the unit powers ON and you are able to use it. After running the cycles if you don't want the shaker left ON, the only way to power it off was to pull the power cord. This is not a major issue as the shaker can be left ON and still used normally. Included in this auction is the Barnstead SHKE 5000-7 Refrigerated Floor Shaker as described/pictured ONLY. Nothing else is included.
