Lab-Line Instruments 3525 Incubator-Shaker For sale- a Lab-Line Instruments Model 3525 Incubator-Shaker. Physically the unit is in fair condition. Even that might overstate it a little. But compared to some of these that I have run across in surplus this one actually looks pretty good by comparison. It powers up. It heats up and both the thermostat and the safety control seem to work. It does shake. But it emits an awful noise when doing so, and after less than a minute it trips the breaker on the back of the unit. So either a bearing is going bad or the motor is shot or maybe there’s a bad belt or whatever. If you want it to shake it’s going to need some work. So I am selling it for parts or repair. And NO warranty is offered, no returns accepted. I have another bottle or jar holder. This unit is great at what it does- The platform moves forward to back for minutes. Hours, days, or months at a time. The unit needs to be lubed every 3 months for continuous operation. It is very easy to take the top off to service- then you just wipe out the old lube and add new. I don't know who the original owner of this was or how much they used it. But it looked pretty new on the inside. I imagine it has many years of use left. I used it for off and on for about a year and probably logged 2 months of use in that time. For me the shaker sped the growth of a yogurt culture. This thing is quite industrial. My understanding is that it would have cost over $1500 when brand new.
