We used this machine to sew two boat covers and its been it the closet for about a year. I took to a local shop and everything is working the way it should. It has always been oiled before and after each use. One thing about these machines is the thread tension-er, when using THICK thread it takes a little time to get it set just right but once you have it, its runs great. It pulls the fabric better than any machine I have every run. Even better than those computer models. One last thing is if you keep it oiled there is not much to go wrong with this machine, its built like a tank. Its easy to move and the flip back case makes it easy to use. Tuff Sew walking foot sewing machine with accessories and other bits
I have up for auction A Tuff Sew Super Deluxe Walking Foot Sewing Machine. I acquired this in a local estate auction and don't know much about walking foot machines. But it appears in good condition, well maintained and oiled. I set it up and was able to sew through 4 layers of webbing with no effort(see photos) When the lever is dropped to sew backward. It sewed but the material did not move. This could be my lack of knowledge, or it might need an adjustment. I would buy with the assumption it may need some adjustments, even though it is sewing. The machine came with a box of extras including: extra walking foot-feet. I assume these are for different uses. Thread. Bobbins, Needles, a Brush, and other bits. It has the foot control and and the case bottom. But not the case top. The case bottom is a poor fit, but works so I do not know ... moreif it is original. The end knob(at the hand wheel) is missing the tiny set screw but this does not stop it from sewing. Do a search. These sell new for $350-$450 plus shipping. This is a heavy item.
