Mr. Heater Big Buddy propane heater. 4000-18000 BTU. I just replaced one of the elements on the heater. Because the other one was cracked. In the pictures it's the whiter one on the left side facing the heater. the plastic is chipped on the front. See pictures. It's not to bad that would interfere with it's function. I fired up the heater using two small bottles which fit in the heater. You can use an optional propane bottle. It has a quick connect for this, also in the pictures. I don't have the 11 lb regulator for it, but you will recieve the 12 foot hose and quick connect. I used this heater to heat a 12 X 15 foot wall tent and it was plenty of heat for that. The date codes on these heaters are a bit misleading as compared to the lanterns that Coleman mkes. The date code reads"7 17" and could mean either January of 1977 or July of 1971. Either way. The heater is in great physical and working condition. The heater has been connected to a disposable propane cylinder and tested for several hours. It worked flawlessly. The original box is in good condition and the original operating instuction are included. This heater can use either the short or tall disposable propane cylinders or with an adaptor hose to hook up to a large refillable propane tank. The heater has a safety shut-off valve incase the heater shuts off. There is a visual ... moreon-off indicator that tells you at a glance if the heater is operating. The heat is adjustable from 2000 to 5000 BTUs. Provides directional heating as well as space heating. There is room for a spare fuel tank inside of heater. I am auc tioning off a very clean and great working gas heater made by COLEMAN that has 8.000 to 10,000 BTU'S of adjustable heat. This heater was manufactured in the USA by Coleman in May of 1970 but not used much and well taken care of. This is a very powerful g as heater. This heat er uses Coleman fuel! Inst ructions come with on"HOW TO O PERATE AND MAINT AIN A COLEMAN GAS H EA TER" This heater has a"snuffer" that e xtinguishes the flame by put it over the to p of the heater. This heater has the wrong handle on it. It carries the heater fine but is too small to collapse. Shipping will weigh 10 pounds and be paid for by the high bid der.
