This is a 3x3" plarform that has nine 1/4-20 holes top and bottom spaced 1" apart. The only defect is slight rusting on the steel collar that holds the Micrometer in place. New these retail for $250 with the actuators sold separately. I also have some random hardware. This is a used Oriel Optics rotary stage. The black anodizing appears to be a little thin in places but it still moves smoothly. There is no model number on it so here is a description: The base measures about 89 by 77 mm. The rotary stage is about 64mm diameter. From the top of the stage to the bottom of the mounting base it is about 18 mm and overall about 25 mm high. The attached Mitutoyo micrometer goes from 0 to 6mm so the angle of rotation is in the 9-10 degree range. Feel free to ask questions. This device is a definite purpose mechanical stage. It consists essentially of a base with a main X-Y translation stage with a range of.050" in each direction. With an auxiliary second stage mounted on it. The second stage features X-Y translation with a range of.500" in each direction and a precision rotary adjustment. Each stage has an aperture, and the centerlines of the apertures are 4" apart. Adjustment of the micrometers varies the relative positions of the centerlines in small, precise increments The main linear stage is 4.5" square with a 1.75" opening in the center. The X and Y motions appear to utilize heavy duty crossed roller slides. The auxiliary stage is 3" diameter and uses ball bearing slides. The details of the mechanism are a mystery for the buyer to solve- we didn't want to take it apart ... morejust to satisfy our curiosity! We don't know what the original design intent was, but it's a treasure trove of micrometer adjustments and precision slides.
