Antique Veeder Root 5 Digit Counter Working Industrial Hay Bailer Loom
I’m not sure what this old counter came off of. But from what little I was able to research I’ve been lead to believe that it was a hay bailer or a loom. It’s all metal with a blue paint job. The nameplate and trim are brass. It works fine, keeps in sync, and the reset lever turns all of the wheels simultaneously. It has general wear and tear. But doesn’t appear to have any significant damages. The case measures 3 ½ in. X 2 ½ in. X 2 ½ in. and the wheel that the belt sits on is about 2 ¼ in. in diameter. Please keep in mind that a lot of the things that I sell are old. Vintage and antique items. They're probably not in perfect condition after all these years. It had apparently been used briefly. The unit has three holes on its face for attachment to other equipment. It has a thumb wheel on its white face to reset the counter. It has a nylon geared pullley attachment for connecting to the device to be counted. Such counters are used to count events on a variety of equipment in industrial applications. There is no date but it has a model or serial number on the side of counter in red of“34– 29” The counter measures approx. 3 inches in overall length. The housing is approx. 2 inches wide. 1 ¼ inches deep and 1 ¼ inches tall. The gear is approx. ¾ inch in diameter with 36 teeth. The four(3) digit counter is in working condition and counts to 999 before returning to 000. It turns freely in both directions. I could not find anything on it that tells me it is resettable. It probably dates around the early 1950’s or 60’s. Condition is good. Missing only a little of the label and black paint on the edges.
