Up for sale is a gently used B&K Precision 4040A Signal generator. The equipment is in very good condition with a few very light and almost invisible scuffs. It has no dents. Scratches, or cracks. The silicon rubber on left bottom corner is ripped(see the pictures) On the front panel(left side) a very small piece of foil is peeled off. I have replaced the"Coarse and Fine" tuning standard potentiometers with a 10turn precision version. This upgrade makes setting desired frequency convenient and easy. This unit has been bench tested for operability. We were able to produce clean sine waves at multiple frequencies. The Triangle wave from was sable and clean up to around 8MHz and the square wave started to look more and more like a sinewave the closer it got to 5Mhz. We also checked the other output jacks for signals and they were present. No further fucntion testing was performed on this unit. This unit came due for calibration in 2007 and the quality of the square wave show that this unit does need to be recalibrated. This listing is for the test equipment only.
