Most people go underneath to the inside frame area but I prefer to open the hood and find a flat metal surface around the fender areas, there are usually a lot of electrical units and air filters to put it behind and it just blends in better in my opinion and I have never had to open my hood during a traffic stop. Unpacking boxes of storage I found this. I used it about a year or so before putting it away. Still very nice and presentable. No signs of use on the ceramic crock or faucet. A few scuffs on the spill proof top where the water bottle goes in. With this design, no water can come out till you put it on and the probe punctures the seal of the bottle. Much more sanitary this way too. Holds 3 or 5 gallon bottles.
