Parodi Cigars Vintage Tin Advertising Thermometer
This advertising collectible came out of a corner store in Cambridge Ma. It is in good condition though there is a scrape and some paint loss around the edges and some wall paint where the shop owner painted the wall without removing it. There is a dent around the top mounting hole. The graphics are all showing strong original colors. The thermometer is also intact. The paint on the face is in very good condition with no crazing. Swell 1940's or 50's Vintage Thermometer & Sled Novelty Pin ~Handle Turns~
This swell novelty pin is probably from the 1940's or 1950's. It has a leather thermometer attached to the pin and from that hangs the metal sled with moveable handle. The thermometer measures 1 3/4" x 3/8" The sled hangs down 2 1/4" from the pin. The sled measures 1 3/8" x 5/8" The condition is very good. There is a tiny pin of paint worn off the sled handle. Up for bid is a very nice. Dark wood color Barometer. I am unsure of the age, but it has been in the family for years. I say early 60's. It has 3 beveled glass fixtures to the front. One displays Temperature, Relative Humidity, and the top largest tells if the weather is stormy, rainy,fair, or dry. This circle has the name Jason inscribed in it. I don't know how to use them exactly, but the needles still move depending on where I set this piece.There are 2 spindles on either side, and the wood piece measures around 12" by 8" The condition is very good, and there are a few miniscule nicks, but this would well be covered over with some dark furniture polish. I am pleased to offer a very fine French perpetual calendar dating from the 19th century! The calendar is made of gutta percha and depicts besides the calendar. A pocket watch holder on the upper right side and a thermometer set on brass on the left side. The gutta percha is very finely and precisely carved and depicts a winged dragon on the top with various floral ornaments. The back is partially covered with wood along with the wooden stand. The overall measurements are 7 5/8" x 11" The condition is very good with minor signs of age and handling. One"foot" of the stand on the back is missing. The calendar is absolutely stable! There are otherwise some minor repairs which have been made in the past. A rare and unusual item!

A couple of the Thermometers show the mark of Taylor Brothers while another is labelled Cottage Barmometer. The verso features engravings of Ice Creepers which were like cleats attached to the bottom of you boots to walk on ice. This original 19th century catalog sheet is in very good shape overall. We acquired a large quantity loose pages and sections from disbound 19th century hardware catalogs that dated between about 1880 and 1900 or so. Vintage Mid-Century Swift Anderson Barometer Humidity Thermometer Retro Wood
Up for bid is a very nice looking Mid-Century Retro Swift& Anderson. Inc. Boston 25, Mass Barometer, Thermometer and Hygrometer. There are 3 oval pieces connected by gold colored chain. Each with a dial in the middle of the wood. The top level is the Hygrometer, measuring the humidity. The face of the dial is 2 inches across and the thick wooden piece is 4 1/2 inches wide and 0.75 inch deep. The middle dial is temperature, the face is 3 inches across the wood measures 6 inches across and is 7/8 inches thick. The bottom dial is the barometer, the face is 4.5 inches across and the wood measures 8.25 inches by 1 inch thick. The total length when it is hung on the wall is 19 inches long. All of the dials are in good shape with no cracks or breaks. There are a couple minor nicks in the wood finish. Mostly on the middle dial. Antique Thermometer in Coffin Case Oral Baby Rectal Fever Medical
For your consideration is a antique thermometer in a unique looking coffin case. I am not sure of its exact temperature taking use. Inside has purple velvet on bottom and red satin on top. Outside is dark brown pressed vinyl or leather. One hinge is broken as well as the bulb on end of thermometer. This is certainly an unusual piece. From the Dutch province of Friesland where the art of chip carving has been practiced for generations comes this Frisian Art Deco chip carved wall thermometer. The thermometer measures 14 5/8" by 5 3/4" The milk glass dial reads both degrees Centigrade and Fahrenheit. In good condition. Consistent with its circa 1920 vintage normal and expected wear is present as shown, additionally, there is a long glue joint shown from the back, the dial has two cracks in it, at the top and bottom.
