This is an absolutely adorable old child's dress and pinafore apron made of blue and white homespun material. It looks handmade to me but it might be machine made.sorry I don't know enough to tell for sure. The stiches are small and uniform. Dress has patch pocket in front. 3 button opening in back with a button sash in back also. There are 5 small(pencil eraser size) holes on back of the dress, and small areas of brown discoloration on both sleeves and back of the apron. The apron has metal snap closure at the top.None of the wear takes away from the dress but in my opinion adds to its character.you can tell it was well loved and preserved. This is really a cute and neat vintage small red and white check which I would call kind of a full apron for kitchen or cooking activities. I just used dress as a descriptive term- really mostly open in the back so not really a dress. This has a little wear. Maybe some creases but this is really cute and really nice.This does have some straps and square area in back with some buttons, but I assume that it would almost be just as easy to slip this over your head perhaps. Almost seems like it should have some extra ribbons or strings to maybe pull the bottom part of this in but maybe not. This is about 44 or 45 inches high. This would be a neat old apron for someone. With rubber face and black hair. She is wearing a long red and white dress, white apron, white head scarf and red gloves. Some people uses the dolls as a cover to one of their electric appliances, such as the toaster or blender. She was made from the waist up, sitting on a 6" X 6" wood stand(see pictures) I would place her in top of a empty can of coffee, the large one, and that would make it seem as if she was standing up, her dress flowing all the way to the floor or on a its own stand appearing to be sitting down(see pictures) I have displayed her on and off for the last 25 years ... moreover my refrigerator. She measures 11 3/4" on the wood stand but when placed on top of the coffee can she measures 21" tall and her skirts opens up like a princess. She is in very good condition and loved. But it is time for her to find a new home. Other than what is stated above. It is in excellent condition This would make a wonderful addition to anyone's home decor. A beautiful piece to own and display. It is an used decorative doll, but it still has a lot of years left. It has been well taken care of, the colors are bright and unfaded. But belonged to someone in a lodge in Memphis who finished his initiation in April, 1945- I am unsure why it parted from its original Mason. Nonetheless. Here it is for your review.
