This is a cardboard item titled"Dienstgrade und Landesfarben der SA" depicting a generic SA-Mann that uses a rotating wheel mounted inside which turns and will change the rank and waffenfarbe of the soldier to show a different Gau or region where the soldier was based. I believe this is from the 1970s or 80s and were produced by a militaria collectibles shop in England called"The Old Brigade" as a novelty and reference item. WW 2 US Merchant Marine Seaman Military Uniform with Insignia Shirt Pant USMS
For sale is a WW 2 US Merchant Marine Uniform with Sewn Red Insignia. There is a Shirt& Pant marked J. Cathey inside. There seems to be some controversy about these uniforms but I have seen many pictures and documentation concerning this uniform and it is authentic for the period. The pants are button fly straight leg. Cotton with two front tab pockets. The shirt is v-neck design with the back flap that has a red sewn insignia in each corner, the right sleeve has the same red sewn insignia with USMS added. This uniform was pre war issue but was worn until 1942 and by some until the end of the war. The uniform condition is good in that there are no tears or rips. There are however some brown stains that are the result of storage next to metal items that were in the same foot locker. Antique West Point Military Dress Uniform Style Cross Belt Buckle Breast Plate
This is a great breastplate or cross-belt plate from a West Point uniform. We bought this at auction. It has some age patina to it. Obviously the prongs which hold the plate in place on the cross-belt. Are bent backwards! They can eaisly be restored to their correct positions, if desired. Here's what I think. I believe a cadet used this uniform cross-belt plate as an ashtray! Pretty neat. It sits perfectly on these legs- and has what looks like ash residue on the inside of the bowl. As mentioned. It can be eaisly restored, but I think it is an even more interesting piece, having been formed into an ash tray- pretty creative! Really interesting- and heavy brass West Point piece! What I have is an authentic ww2 U.S. navy uniform with two ww2 long sleeve shirts. All the pieces are marked willy. So they all come from the same person. Tag inside the green uniform marked regulation us navy uniform. A couple holes in the pants and a hole in the liner of the jacket are the only imperfections. One of the shirts is still wrapped from an old dry cleaners place. The other shirt has a lite stain on its sleeve, but it is still a really nice shirt. Please ask questions before the auctions end. Republican Guard Uniform and Equipment Original Desert Storm Iraqi Republican Guard uniform and equipment. As follows: Jacket: Chinese made copy of the French field jacket. OD green cotton/poly HBT construction with two zippered chest pockets and two lower pockets with button flaps, button front and cuffs, and draw string at waist. ALAIN RAFAEL label at collar and marked size 42[jacket has been tailored down to about a size 36 Regular] Label inside right of jacket states it was made in Shanghai, China. Has stiff velvet-type Republican Guard triangle patches on each sleeve, and a reddish-orange shoulder lanyard around right shoulder and secured to right pocket zipper pull. Faint red stains to left front shoulder otherwise undamaged. Trousers: Chinese made copy of the French version. OD green cotton/poly HBT construction with zipper fly, two ... moresets of belt loops[narrow ones for trouser belt and wide button-down ones for pistol belt] two front slash pockets, two cargo pockets with button flaps, reinforced knees, amd drawstring cuffs. Same labels inside as jacket, small size aprox. 29 x 31. No damage. Equipment: OD green canvas British style P58 webbing consisting of suspenders. Pistol belt, double rear pouches, poncho/shelter half carrier, and two front pouches[both pouches are left side type with integral bayonet frog, but this is the way they came] Webbing appears to be original British issue but is unmarked except for Arabic script in blue ink on back of belt and suspenders. Average fading from use but no fraying or other damage-however, the foam padding inside the suspenders has dried out and gotten hard. Also included is an M1/M59 gas mask with bag and filter[Yugoslav copy of the US M9A1 mask, and supplied in large quantities to the Iraqis in the 1980s] Rubber is still nice and pliable with no damage. The peaked cap has been worn by Russian Army officers(lower ranks had the same cap but sometimes without a peak) as a new type of forage cap since 1811. Another early appearance of the peaked cap appears to have been in the Prussian Army of 1814-15 when Feldmarschall Prince Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher and other officers wore it as a field cap in place of the cumbersome shako of the time. Throughout the nineteenth century peaked caps were the characteristic ordinary duty headdress for officers of both the Prussian and Russian Armies. In 1856 a form of peaked cap was adopted by petty officers of the Royal Navy. In imitation of an undress headdress worn by officers from as early as 1827.
