I also have his letters and other history facts about him all the way up until 1986. He was a close friend with Senator Lester Hill of Alabama. Up auction is a Russian man doll in full uniform. I don't know if he is Royalty or Military and the markings on the bottom of his stand are in Russian so I have no idea what it says. He is 11" tall. He has a porcelain( head. Hands and legs and cloth body. He has painted brown eyes, brows, mustache and closed mouth. He is wearing a red velvet( robe, white shirt, and black pants tucked into his black boots. His headdress is a black"furry" object and it has a red oval top. His uniform is trimmed with black and silver and he has a sword on his belt. He is standing on a cloth covered circle but his boots have come unglued to it. It needs to be glued back for him to stand securely. Vintage ca.1920's United States POSTAL DEPARTMENT Uniform: 3-Piece Suit USPS
For bid is an original circa 1920’s UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE 3-Piece UNIFORM: Pants. Vest and uniform JACKET! This amazing vintage suit was produced in gray with gold-colored buttons, plus brown strips on the pants! This wonderful suit was manufactured by“MAHER BROTHERS” of Utica, New York(founded in 1867) and has two tags inside the jacket, plus a United Garment Workers of America(UGWA) union tag inside a breast pocket on the inside right pocket. This terrific suit was made for a San Francisco Post Office employee(name is not quite readable) It was written in pencil in someone’s handwriting on a tailor’s tag sewn in the outside left breast pocket. The jacket has is double-breasted and has five gold-colored“POD” Post Office Department) metal buttons. Each button shows a male letter carrier delivering a letter. It has four exterior pockets, ... moreincluding a pocket for a chain or some other item. The VEST has six smaller versions of the gold-colored buttons. It has five exterior pockets and one interior pocket. The back of the vest has a buckle for tightening the vest. The pants zip up(I purchased this uniform from an old costume shop and the zipper appears to have been added in modern times) with a“TALON” zipper. The zipper doesn't work right now(I cannot pull it upwards) There are buttons inside the waist of the pants for suspenders/ braces. This is an amazing workman’s uniform. I suppose the man was a letter carrier or perhaps he worked in a post office building. The uniform is in very good condition. The inside white cotton areas of the pants have some gray spotting. There is also some old pen writing inside the pants, too. Even though they are somewhat musty, the pants are still nice. They have some room in the back to be let out a little, but I will give the measurements of the size they are NOW. This is a terrific three-piece uniform suit! It really does belong in a museum! For the pants, we get a 28 inch waist, inseam of 26 1/2 inches and outside seam of 34 1/2 inches. Jacket measures about 40”

The Corps of Engineers' oldest and most time honored insignia is the ESSAYONS Button. Designed by Colonel Jonathan Williams. A former Chief of Engineers and the first Superintendent of USMA, the button has not changed in basic design since its first definitely known use during the War of 1812. It is still the required button for the uniform worn by Army Engineers. It remains very clean/solid overall excepting a few small snags to the rear upper left shoulder area and some light staining to the left front pocket below the flap(very small- see photos) Collar area is more of an open style(see photos) Epaulets to each side are trimmed with a bullion star and bullion number 12(see photos) All buttons are present to the center closure and each has a Polish eagle to the front(see photos) Buttons to the upper two pocket flaps are present but button to the two lower pocket flaps are missing(see photos) Buttons are concave to the reverse and are maker marked(see photos) Green material lining is very clean and has no losses or problems(see photos) The makers label present to the interior left is marked Karol Madej- Biata(see photos) No size tag is present and the uniform fits the mannequin as an approximate size 34(see photos) Measurements for this tunic are: shoulder seam to shoulder seam across the back– 17 inches. This is a beautiful mint condition WWII US Army Lt. Colonel uniform. This is a highly decorated uniform with 16 sewn on WWII ribbons and service bars. The patches are that of the 23rd Infantry Division on the right and Staff Support Trial Defense patch on left(JAG) officer. There are no missing buttons. No rips, no tears, no stains and no moth holes. The Silver Lt. Col. rank is very well preserved with no discoloration at all. This silk lined uniform was tailor made by the Service Uniform Co. of Boston, MA. The complete uniform includes jacket and two trousers. US WW2 Officer's Tropical Khaki Uniform With Decorations. 23rd Corps. Nice!
For sale here is a nice and scarce US WW2 Officer's Tropical Uniform Coat. The 4 pocket tunic is made by SACO Uniforms of Philadelphia. The tunic features the great looking deep dimensional buttons made by Superior Quality. The uniform does not have any holes. Stains, tears, rips, or major wear, but does have a couple of pinhead size moth holes to the reverse, but these are hard to notice and the tunic will display very very well. The top pockets feature snap closures which work well. The interior pocket has a nametag, but it has not been filled out. The coat features a 23rd Corps Patch on the upper left shoulder. The coat also has a 3 place ribbon bar over the left breast. There is also a Infantry shoulder cord on the left shoulder. The lapels feature clutchback U.S. Officer's Insignia on each lapel. Set of 3 Vintage 1942 Leader, Uniform and Insignia Manuals
Up for your consideration is this set of three vintage 1942 Girl Scout manuals. These booklets came from the estate sale of a very dedicated Girl Scout Leader during the 40s and 50s. The blue manual has some fading on the cover(as seen in the photo) and the pages are yellowed due to age. Otherwise. The content is in excellent condition. The green booklet has minor tearing as seen in the last photo but the content is in excellent condition. The red guide is in excellent condition all round. Two of the manuals have the leader's name written on the front covers. These manuals are a wonderful historical reference for Girl Scoout leadership guidelines. Period uniforms and insignias.
