The tunic is a typical two pocket design with the soldiers name N. DOHM lightly stenciled in black above the left pocket. The usual USMC EGA are either so lightly stenciled on the pocket that it has completely worn away or it was never stenciled at all. The original contract tag states"SHIRT MAN'S COTTON SATEEN OG-107 DSA 1-8351" The size tag states the size is a 14.5 X 33. However. The actual current measurements are as follows taken with the garment laying flat: Shoulder seam to shoulder seam 16.5" Top of collar to bottom of waist 30" Chest pit to pit 22" or a dia of 44" Waist side to side 20" or a dia of 40" Sleeve length shoulder ... moreseam to bottom of cuff 22" The condition is excellent with no notable wear and the shirt displays beautifully. The coat is dark blue. Single-breasted, and tailored like a military tunic with a high stand-up collar and falls just below the waist. The buttons are concealed by a fly-front and the coat is trimmed around the collar, front, bottom, and the side seams with lustrous black braid. The sleeves bear one line of gold braid signifiying the rank of ensign. Above the braid is the embroidered Pay/Supply Corps device: the sprig of three oak leaves and three acorns. WWII RCAF Sergeant Uniform Tunics with Cap Badge- Named Lacrosse Hall of Famer You are bidding on a very rare group of WWII historical pieces belonging to a famous Canadian. All of these historical pieces once belonged to I. Clintin(Mick) Magee(Service# R224968) Mick was inducted in the Canadian Lacrosse hall of fame in 2005 and was a very well known Canadian. Clintin(Mick) Magee began his playing career in 1932 with the Peterborough Auburns City League. In 1936 he played for Oshawa in the Senior Ontario Lacrosse League. For the next two years he played at the Senior“B” level out of Peterborough and then played for the Hamilton Tigers from 1939-1942. In 1945 he played for the Brampton Excelsiors for one year and then returned to play for Peterborough from 1946 until 1954. From 1951-1954 he helped the Peterborough Timbermen or Trailermen win ... morefour Mann Cups. Magee played with such greats as Bill Isaacs. Ike Hildebrand and Norm Gair and against players like Piper Bain, Joe Murphy and George“Mush” Thompson. He was an all-round athlete and participated in other sports such as hockey and football and also spent some time coaching and helped the Peterborough Midgets win a championship in 1956. During his time playing he was involved with the Peterborough Seniors as Club Secretary. In 1942 Mick entered WWII in the RCAF. He was promoted to Sergeant in 1943 and was one of the few Sergeant pilots. He flew several missions and was well liked by everyone. People in Peterborough still talk about Mick Magee. This auction includes two original WWII tunics. Both are marked and both are from 1943. The tunics both have original RCAF patches. Buttons and sergeants stripes.
