Vintage WWII Victory Garden Apron
Up for sale is this vintage Victory Garden apron from the World War II era. This apron belonged to my mother when she was young. And I've kept it all these years. It is in very good condition, made of strong canvas-like fabric. It has two pockets at the bottom, a neck strap, and two waist ties. The apron measures 21.5" long and 16" wide at the bottom edge. Ties are 16.5" each. The neck strap causes the bib to drop appx. 10" Straps are attached with navy blue reinforced stitching. There are a few small spots on the apron, one on the bib and two on the pocket, all less than 1" in diameter/length. I had this made for me by an Amish woman when I was a size 8. I am 5'5" the hem comes down to the top of my ankles. Approximate measurements: Waist. 24 inches, but has about a 3 inch give. Neck to waist(back measurement) 17 inches. Waist to hemline: 37 inches. The waist is solid. Not elastic. The apron is all sewn-no pinning down the middle seem. As you can tell from the front& back pictures. There is a pocket in front on the dress. It is covered by the apron. The only snaps on this are on the back of the dress for the neck hole. The sleeves are full-length. There are a few slight snags. Not noticeable from afar. Heavy. Winter material. Wash& wear. I will only ship within the continental United States.

Antique Masonic Skull and Crossbones apron, The Bruce Regalia Co.
Vintage/antique Knights Templar Masonic Skull and Crossbones apron manufactured by The Bruce Regalia Co. Worcester, Mass. Apron is made of black velvet with black grosgrain ribbon ties featuring the silver skull and crossbones with crossed swords framed by silver colored trim. The apron is triangular in shape measuring approximately 15 3/4" wide by 15" in length. Ties measure approximately 48" in length from edge of apron to their slightly frayed tips. Apron is in excellent condition with no tears or pulls; the only minor flaws are the frayed ends of the ties and the fact that the silver has not been cleaned or painted over. The silver has the character that comes from the original aged patina obtained over the years. The most well-known town in this region is Hluk. Which is often what these costumes ... moreare associated with. The costume includes eight parts: blouse, collar, vest, skirt, apron, underskirt, red shawl, and waist sash. The blouse has finely pleated sleeves and wide lace cuffs. There is floral ribbon trim stitched to the shoulder and cuffs. The lace collar is seperate and has nice hand embroidery and attached lace. There is staining/discoloration to the lace, but you would need to remove it from the embroidered band before trying to wash it so that the colors don't run. The vest is made from fine purple fabric and decorated with silk floral ribbon around the edges, couched embroidery motifs on the back, metallic lace trim, and the original buttons on the front. The skirt is more like an apron worn on the back as is is open in the front where it is covered by the red apron. The skirt is made from black cloth and finely pleated. It has a band of black floral ribbon and metallic lace along the top. The apron is made from red brocade fabric and edges with lace trim. HERE IS A CHILD'S KERMIT THE FROG APRON FROM JIM HENSON'S MUPPETS. PROBABLY DATES FROM THE LATE 1980'S TO THE 1990'S. IT STILL HAS THE MANUFATURE LABEL WITH WASHING INSTRUCTIONS. INNOVO INC. MADE IN U.S.A. STAFFORD TX. MADE OF 5O COTTON. 50 POLYESTER. IT IS IN GOOD CONDITION COLORS ARE BTIGHT. IN THE PHOTOS YOU CAN SEE A COUPLE OF SMALL STAINS THEY ARE ON THE LOWER LEFT CORNER.
