This auction is for a 52in foot actuated sheetmetal shear from Northern Tool(item 143360) The shear is lightly used(about 5 years old) but in great working order. And was used for odd jobs cutting aluminum and plastic sheet materials. It is no longer needed so I’m selling it on Ebay. The shear is very heavy(approx 1000lbs) and has been fitted with angle iron supports and heavy duty casters to enable easy relocation on cement flooring. The shearing blades and stomp action are in great shape with no nicks or problems. The auction pictures show the actual shear being sold. Used Pexto 137K stomp shear 36" converted to air power. Rated at 16ga but cuts 18ga and less better on the air cyl. Includes the original adjustable back gage and the front arms. One arm has been brazed. The stomp arms have been shortened and the air cylinder added. Cuts lighter gages fine. Blade seems sharp. Table has some stains but is smooth. Paint is chipped and faded. He only worked in lighter metals. To make decorative pieces, and was. I believe, the original owner. Thus this machine has not been beat up. In a production enviroment. The blade looks to be in Very Good condition. I don't see any nicks. Or chips, on it. The blade will need a light sharpening to cut to it's full potential. Especially. Right in the middle, the blade needs some dressing up. I surmise. That for the 17. Or 18, years he used it, the old timer went right to the middle of the table; every time he cut something. Pexto 37" foot stomp shear with back gauge & extra blades
Pexto 37" stomp shear with back gauge and extra blades. The blades are sharp. We used this shear in our precision titanium fabrication business. It has been through 10's of thousands of production cycles and works perfectly. We did not use the back gauge. So it has been stored and will need some clean up but it will work as designed. The extra blade set is used also. But the blades are in good condition. The extra blades are reasonably sharp and have no defects. A little bit of effort with a honing stone will likely bring them back to very sharp. We have ceased operations that require this shear. So it has to go. It is an excellent shear. You won't be sorry. The shear is for pick-up only. It is very heavy. I do not have a method to load it for you. So you must have a strategy to lift and load it ie. bring friends and equipment(pallet ... morejack and a lift gate would likely work fine) Sold as-is and where-is Let us know if you have any questions.
